"Clean initial impression, but cut short due to major issue (Room 263)
We checked into Room 263 (2 queen beds) just before 10:00 PM. Initially, we were satisfied with the visible cleanliness of the room and the excellent customer service at check-in.
We put down our things and went out for a few hours, returning just before 2:00 AM to sleep. During the night, my significant other moved to the second queen bed to have a bit more room.
When our alarm went off at 6:00 AM, he woke up with large, red, swollen welts across his chest, stomach, back, hips, and buttocks. Suspecting bed bugs from that second mattress, we immediately examined the welts and gathered our things to leave. I slept in the first bed the entire night and did not get any welts, so the issue seems localized to that specific second bed.
We checked out early, just before 7:00 AM. Kendrick at the front desk was very kind and professional, handling our early departure well and providing us with the GM's email address to request a full refund.
This was our first time staying overnight in Durant, and while the staff was pleasant, waking up with severe welts ruined the experience. I cannot recommend staying here until management thoroughly inspects and treats Room 263."
