"Could not recommend this accommodation enough - a real hidden gem! Massive, secure 2 bedroom apartment in a wider bunkhouse complex which was, when we stayed, not occupied. Only 5 mins drive from Kirriemuir and so quiet and peaceful - in the heart of the countryside. Comms were great and all mod cons throughout including WiFi, TVs in all rooms and even a starter hamper! Will definitely book again. The dog loved the outdoor space which is literally ‘on your doorstep’! A+"

Learn more about Kirriemuir

Nestled in a small-town setting, Kirriemuir invites visitors to explore J.M. Barrie's birthplace and climb Camera Obscura for panoramic views. Hike through the magnificent Glen Doll Forest or visit the Bon Scott Statue before discovering local wildlife at Loch of Kinnordy Nature Reserve.

The Airlie Monument was built in 1901 to commemorate David Ogilve, the 9th Earl of Airlie, who died at the Battle of Diamond Hill in South Africa. Its located between Glen Prosen and Glen Clova in Kirriemuir.

The walk starts through the forest and then opens up onto moorland which you can walk further for. Great walk, kind of steep at points but amazing for our dogs. If you can, go back to the start where you will of passed a stone memorial called 'Scott-Wilson memorial'. It's definitely worth a visit!
