"Another excellent stay. Staff were amazing. My hairdryer didn't work in my room and I went to reception to tell them. Within minutes l had a member of the reception team at my door with a new hairdryer. Staff are very friendly and exceptionally helpful. My room was clean and the shower was fabulous! My view wasn't great from my room but I didn't go to the hotel to stare out the window all day. Bar staff were lovely and make great cocktails. I will definitely return soon. "

"I thought the hotel building was an excellent example of Victorian hospitality, however, there were parts with were beginning to look a little worn, some carpets were wearing quite badly, but overall we loved the size of the room and the lovely bed."

"Fantastic hotel. While a golf hotel we loved staying here so we could walk a links course and enjoy the beach. Our Junior Suite overlooked the first tee and the 18th green. We could watch golfers from 7 am to 10pm. Food was great. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. "

"The Woodlands is lovely. It's not a perfect hotel, some of the rooms need a spruce up and ours was directly above the kitchen so our bathroom smelled of cooking for much of the time, but it's a charming place with lots of character and lovely staff."
