"Following three failed attempts to check in on arrival due to an unmanned desk, the rest of the stay was excellent, mostly down to the wonderful Sunny whom ensured our stay was comfortable and with plenty of supplies due to the weather conditions. The only downside was a faulty light in our room which constantly flashed on and off during the night which disturbed our sleep a little. We reported it twice, hoping for repair or a change of room but it was a weekend so no maintenance was available...

"Fabulous stay from start to finish. Easy to park at the back of the hotel and bus into centre of York. Handy wine bar opposite the hotel plus a convenience store. Breakfast delicious. Will definitely return on my next trip to York. "

"I booked for a double room but was given a family room (with 2 double beds and a single bed) on arrival without any extra charge.I was travelling solo so the space was too much for me.The beds were comfortable.There were enough towels for a family room capacity.There were few bottled water,mugs and teaspoons and plenty of coffee,tea and sugar sachets.If I was travelling with 4 others,the room would be spacious enough.The bathroom was clean.Water pressure in the shower wasn’t strong but not a...

"I loved my time here. It's a very comfortable guest house, my room was small, but absolutely suited to my needs, larger rooms are available for more than 1 traveller, reasonablypriced, too. The staff is also small, but so helpful, friendy and polite. Its located in a lovely quiet area, with a reasonable walk to the city but manageable if you have no mobility issues, but taxis or buses are easy to come by. I enjoyed my weekend immensely and would encourage others to follow suit. *****"
