Great last minute booking!
Lovely hotel which we booked last minute due to being let down by another hotel. They let us check in early, room was big, comfortable and clean with nice pool area. Good access to local restaurants but slight walk to the beach (although I think they have a shuttle service) but we just rented bikes :)

Overall everything very good. But shower performance was poor. The room had a kitchen but other than 2 cups and 2 glasses plus a couple of teaspoons no other utensils not that we needed any but a little strange. Staff very friendly and helpful 10 out of 10

Room was huge very clean and modern. The pool was very nice and they have motorbikes you can rent on site. You can access all beaches with motorcycle.

Room was spacious and comfortable, even the bathroom was spacious. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, recommended places of attraction. Motorbike rental was available which helped us very much in exploring the island from north to south conveniently even though we were only staying for a night. Shuttle service was provided to the pier. However, as there was a tropical storm that hit Southern Thailand few days before our trip and I wrote to enquire about the situation, the response was delayed till the day we checked out. Perhaps there could be more prompt response to help us in understanding the local situation.

Over rated dissapointing
Booked a luxury,suite,put in a garden villa,beds looked like they already been slept in. Nothing luxury about these rooms,3 star on a good day, had to prove I booked a suite before offered one then it was a room in the corner with no natural light,hostel next door uses pool,they pay 200tb a night and uses the facities ,as iits advertise they can, manager not interested if you have any problems, this is not a 4 star 3 on a good day, INo towels for pool only 4 sun unbrellas around the pool for everyone, backpackers from hostel fron next door uses the pool as it's advertised they can very nosy when they come in as the pool is not that large,thought it would be peaceful as there only 12 rooms

We are very sorry this happened and has been stopped. Only Phutara guests can use the pool. We completely understand your frustrations regarding this issue and would like to offer you a discounted stay if you were to come back to Lanta. Not quite sure what you mean about the beds looked like they had already been slept in... of course the rooms would be cleaned between guests. All guests would need to provide proof of booking when they come to check in, this is common practice. We sincerely hope you allow us the chance to change your opinion completely.

Worth a stay
This was one of our last hotels, of our 6 week trip and it was by far one of the nicest places we have stayed. It is around the middle of the island, so although it wasn't necessary in a major tourist area, it was only a short rid away from anything. Hotel was lovely, clean and quiet, staff where also as lovely. Lost of places to eat within a 5/10min walk away, we never used the hotel restaurant apart from breakfast, which was the best from our trip. The pool area is also very quite yet large

The room was really nice and the location is great for the beach. The staff are not very friendly. We asked for clean towels and the woman at the front desk was very rude.

3 days in lovely accommodation
Great accommodation, I had the poolside bungalow,b2.was great. Pool ws lovely, pretty warm, but nice. Breakfast as a little lacking.

Pleasant stay
We enjoyed our four nights at this hotel. First and foremost the staff were the best, very friendly...a smile from you goes a long way. Hotel is small and even although they allow next door backpackers to use the beautiful pool, it was never overcrowded or noisy. The shuttle to their sister hotel was handy but the walk is not that long either. We had no negatives!

We originally thought there would be a little better atmosphere if other people used the pool but after some negative reviews we now offer the pool only to Phutara guests. Relaxing stay at Phutara Lanta
We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. All the staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. We had a beautiful 1-bedroom poolside suite - all spotlessly clean and almost brand new. Nice touch to have a welcome fruit platter and bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival. Very effective air-conditioning. Lovely pool right outside, again beautifully maintained. Hotel is well located, but if you want to venture further afield, there is scooter rental onsite. That's how everyone seems to get around, and it's much cheaper (and more fun!) than continually renting tuk tuks. We would definitely consider staying here again if we return to Koh Lanta.

The hotel was out of power when we first arrived, and the host told us it was only for an hour, but according to other guests it had been out for over 5 hours. I understand things happen, but don't lie. The room had a lot of little ants every where. Nothing could be left out. No shower curtain, and the toilet paper holder was right in between the shower and tub. Everything got wet. There was a tub, which also didn't have a shower and would leak everywhere if used. Hotel staff were on the rude side, and would address my boyfriend rather than me, even if I was the one asking the question.

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff
We had an amazing stay at this hotel, the staff are so friendly, helpful and genuine. The facilities are great, the rooms are huge and the pool offers a lot of privacy and is nice and cool! Even the restaurant is great, the food is delicious and it was awesome to get proper bread and crossiants! Highly rate this property, definitely worth staying if you want a more personal relaxing experience!

Good Value
Very comfortable hotel. Reasonably priced (it was shoulder season) with a nice pool. Near Long Beach and Saladan but not on the water. Only negative is the very very slow and intermittent wifi, but that is generally true on any of the Thai islands.

Calling this a resort is false advertising. It's not even a full service hotel. We were unaware that the front desk closes at 8pm and no one is there to help. There's not even a phone in the room to call the emergency number provided and we did not have a way of calling local Thai numbers. Many things in the room were broken including the safe, the bathroom sink, and the soap dispenser. There were also lots of dead bugs in the hallway outside the room and in the stairs going up to the room. The hotel is not in the popular/going out to eat/shopping area. You will have to pay 100 per person to go anywhere on the island. Even the restaurant in the "resort" closed by 6pm so there was nothing good going on nearby. The 7/11 across the street was super convenient and a big plus. The rooms were fairly nice looking and comfortable but too many things were broken. Also, funny water pressure that stops intermittently and have to wait for water to turn back on. Overall very ok.
The resort is exactly as it is supposed to be, we have far more than enough pictures and information to make this very clear. We are sorry you could not manage the safe, perhaps admitting you were didn't have the skills to manage a very simple and basic safe and asking for help would have been a better solution than to run around the resort at night looking for staff who were not there and getting your knickers in a twist. I strongly advise you to upload or add any pictures of anything that was broken. We guarantee our rooms are brand new and immaculate condition. Yes... our restaurant closes early from May - October, all our guests prefer to eat outside in the evening, that is fine, we are ok with that. We never imagined it would be such a drama. Perhaps you should have done a little research on high season and low season before travelling instead of spouting a load of lies. You should not be allowed to write reviews

When we initially checked into our hotel room, they gave us a room on the first level with a view of the green bushes. Once I showed the staff my hotel confirmation that we made a reservation for a “Luxury Suite, 1 bedroom, Pool view” room, they put me in contact with the owner. The told me that they do NOT have 1 bedroom suites with a pool view on the second level so I kindly told him that I would contact Expedia to make the correction on their website since we paid extra to be on the second level. The next morning the staff informed us that we would be moving to the second level as a 1 bedroom suite opened up; so basically we were lied to until I mentioned that I would contact Expedia about the “incorrect” information on their website. We ordered room service on the night we arrived and the food was great however the complimentary breakfast in the morning was absolutely horrible. The food is not made fresh, you can tell that it has been re-heated several times. The fruit trays aren’t covered so there were definitely bugs flying around/on the plates. We pretty much ate toast and coffee every morning then ate somewhere else on the beach for breakfast. There is no coffee house/cafe onsite as advertised, its just the place you eat breakfast. Next, this resort is NOT located on the beach by any means, it is about a 10-15 minute walk from the resort and you have to walk on the side of a busy road to get there. It is not a 2-5 minute walk like the staff tells you.

Good hotel but way overpriced
I booked a 2-room villa at this hotel with a friend. Looking at the price and pictures we were expecting a top hotel, which was not the case at all. We have got a good hotel, but far from excellent. The "villa" was actually just a small bungalow with 2 room and one bathroom. The hotel itself is starting to get a bit old. If we had paid half price or slighly more it would have been worth it, but THAT much.

Very new resort, spacious, great for families
Great service, very accommodating and friendly staff. Both manager and owner were also visible on site and wanted to please the guests, asking how we were doing each day. The only thing we were missing was a drying rack. Also more towel bars inside, a room for four only had one towel bar in the bathroom.

Stunning hotel
We stayed for 5 nights during the low season (August) so the resort was quiet, plenty of sun beds available around the pool. The resort is brand new and high quality. The pool villas all have separate living spaces and bedrooms and are decorated in a modern upmarket design. The AC works really well. Beds are super comfy and the resort is quiet at night. Housekeeping came each day and left fresh towels and changed the linen. There is a full size fridge which is useful for storing water and drinks. There is a rain fall and a smaller shower head, bathroom is huge she shower was a wet room. Plenty of hot water which was great. The pool area is beautiful, the water is warm so very comfortable to get straight into in the morning. You collect pool towels from reception so your room ones are always fresh. We ordered room service a few times - food is fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. We booked through Expedia but they hadn't communicated our booking to the resort. The receptionist was super helpful and sorted it out immediately she even let us look around two rooms so we could choose which one we liked best (we chose one with two TV!). All staff we met were polite, friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them. The location is good, short walk to some excellent bars and restaurants and the beach. Kantiang beach is gorgeous and around 20min drive away. The Greek taverna on the beach is excellent, about 10 min walk, as is Kunda the vegetarian restaurant (5

Real Luxury, Amazing Experience, could be 5 Star
We had an amazing time at Phutara Lanta Resort and were very impressed by the standards. The rooms and facilities around the resort are very clean and luxury standard. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and well maintained. We were particularly impressed with the swimming pool, outdoor spa bath and swim up bar. The location was perfect for us as it was in the middle of the island and easy to access everywhere. The staff were knowledgeable and spoke well English and were always very friendly. We would highly recommend Phutara Lanta Resort as we have stayed in many 4 star hotels / resorts and paid a lot more for the same standards. We will certainly return.

Such a great experience, great staff, WE LOVED IT
From the very first moment arrived we were welcomed by polite and friendly staff who remained informative and extremely helpful. The service was fantastic and we were always taken care of. The rooms were really comfortable and felt very new. It was nice to have the suite next to the pool as it was so convenient to take a dip and relax in the jacuzzi. We really liked how the resort is located in the middle of the island so very easy to explore and see the caves and waterfalls and also the national park. We were very impressed by the genuine level of care from the staff and it really made our experience even greater. Until we sat down and had a chat with the staff we would have never known that there was so many things to see and do on Lanta. We have stayed in many places that have been much worse and paid much more so it was very good value. We will be back for sure.

Mukava hotelli hyvällä etäisyydellä rannalta.
Uima-allas allas erinomainen. Viereisen hostellin asiakkaat tosin käyttävät allasta päivittäin... Allas on kuitenkin tarkoitettu vain hotellin asiakkaille. Henkilökunta ei tehnyt asialle yhtään mitään. Tämä jokseenkin ärsyttävää, varsinkin kun kerran kaikki aurinkotuolit oli varattuna. Juuri tuolloin olimme ainoat asiakkaat hotellilla, eli aurinkotuoleja olisi pitänyt olla vapaana. Huoneet hyvää perustasoa, ei luksusta. Viereisen tien äänet saattavat häiritä. Henkilökunnan kielitaito yhtä poikkeusta lukuunottamatta melko huono. Henkilökunta on kyllä avuliasta ja ystävällistä. Hotellilta sopivat etäisyydet niin rannalle, kuin kylän ravintoloihin. Mukavan pieni ja rauhallinen hotelli. Aamupala melko arvokas. Kylällä monia ravintoloita, joista saa erinomaista aamupalaa. Skootterin vuokraus onnistui kivuttomasti respasta, vaikkakin tankit oli aina tyhjät. Halusimme vuokrata saman Skootterin päivää myöhemmin, mikä meillä oli ollut käytössä ja olimme tankanneet, mutta "se ei ollut saatavilla". Tästä pari päivää eteenpäin ja vuokrasimme taas skootterit. Nyt saimme saman Skootterin, jonka olisimme halunneet aikaisemmin... tankki tyhjänä. Hyvä hotelli kaikenkaikkiaan ja perheemme viihtyi kaksi viikkoa erinomaisesti täällä. Suosittelen, jos ei kaipaa luksusta, eikä 24h respan palveluita.

Hotel en perdition - aucun intérêt
Hotel en perdition qui ne vaut pas mais alors pas le classement en 4 étoiles - Les prestations sont minimalistes voire inexistantes - deux serviettes de bain pas plus - un accueil avec des horaires plus que limites - un petit déjeuner qui offre peu de choix Je ne recommande pas du tout cet hotel qui est en plus isolé - éloigné de tout, La plage qui n'est pas proche n'est pas très bien entretenue

- Komfortable Zimmer - gemütliches Bett - bei der Sauberkeit sollte man nicht genau hinschauen - kaltes Frühstück, welches nur kurz aufgewärmt wird, wenn man zum Frühstück hochgeht. Absolut enttäuschend bei einem solchen Hotel. Da war unser Hostel in Krabi, welches 1/4 gekostet hat um Welten besser. - Absolute Frechheit war allerdings der ‚Service‘ des Personals: Der erst per Mail angebotene kostenlose Transfer sollte auf einmal mehr kosten als bei jedem Taxi oder Tuk Tuk Fahrer. Entschuldigungen kamen keine. Alle wirkten absolut lustlos und demotiviert. Das Hotel lebt scheinbar aus den Bewertungen der Vergangenheit. Das einzig positive war der Versuch uns Tipps für die Insel zu geben. Ich würde dann doch eher kostengünstige Hostels oder Hotels am Strand wählen.

Todella mukava ja kotoisa pieni hotelli kompleksi. Todella isot huoneistot ja hyvässä kunnossa. Ainoa pieni miinus oli hotellin aamupala mutta sekin johtui.siitä kun ei ollut sesonkiaika. Mahtava hotelli ja ystävällinen henkilökunta.

Det är mycket störande att läsa detta. Vi har ett stort team av städare och endast ett litet antal rum. Tidigare har vi läst många recensioner om obefläckad städning av hela hotellet. Vår frukost är en buffé med många alternativ så att gästerna kan äta mat av deras val och så mycket som de vill. Om du inte tyckte om vår frukost, var god och kontakta oss med eventuella förslag eller alternativ som du skulle vilja se. Kör ner? .... Vi är ett mycket nytt hotell med perfekt skick. Allt runt hela orten är ny och i perfekt skick. Är du säker på att du har rätt hotell ?. Våra gäster komplimangerar alltid standarderna för de nya rummen och städservice. Bo du på Phutara Lanta Resort ??

Pas un 4 étoiles mais tres confortable
Lit super confortable. Chambre tres jolie. Et hotel bien placé. Se sont les seuls points positif! Chausson, bidet annoncé = il ny en avaient pas. Restaurant pas bon et surtout il ny as pas ce ecrit sur la carte Jai payé 45e de plus pour avoir une chambre vue sur piscine = jai eu le droit a la vue sur les buissons et impossible de changer de chambre! Inadmissible ! Hôtel 4 étoiles avec pas assez de parasols autour de la piscine (5) donc nous avons brûlé au soleil. Pas assez de matelas pour trabsats. Bref pas digne d'un 4 étoiles ! Location de scooter 250bath la journée a l'extérieur 150bath!

Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez trouvé des points positifs. Veuillez lire attentivement les détails du nom de la salle "Poolside Room" et non pas "Pool View Room". les chambres sont à côté de la piscine. Si les chambres donnaient sur la piscine, il y aurait beaucoup moins d'intimité. Bien que certains invités aimeraient cela, beaucoup ne le voudraient pas. Nous gardons les plantes, les arbres, le jardin pour offrir de l'intimité dans les chambres. Nous allons certainement regarder combien d'Unberellas sont autour de la piscine. Nos vélos sont bien meilleurs que ceux à l'extérieur que vous pouvez louer sur la route. Tous les clients qui souhaitent payer 150 THB pour un vieux vélo de l'extérieur sur la route, sans aucune sécurité ni garantie, sont les bienvenus. Nos vélos sont bien meilleurs et sont neufs et dans un état impeccable et bien entretenus. Ils sont un peu plus mais vous en avez pour votre argent. La différence que vous payez est déjà perdue lorsque vous payez de l’essence lorsque vous prenez un vieux vélo de l’extérieur qui n’a plus été utilisé depuis 10 ans et risque de tomber en panne lorsque vous êtes à mi-chemin de l’île.

Agréable séjour
Nous sommes restés 3 nuits dans ce charmant petit hôtel les chambres sont spacieuses et propre Hôtel assez bien situé sur Kho Lanta après dans les environs il y a ce qu’il faut un 7/11 et des petits resto facilement accessibles à pied Oubliez surtout pas la navette gratuite pour qu’ils vous récupèrent au port!

Gammelt hotel
Hotellet er gammelt og virker som om det bliver holdt i live uden budget. Morgen mad kedelig for kakkelaker rendte rundt på buffeten og al maden var kold selv de stegte æg. Området var helt mørklagt om aftenen, på værelset skriver de det koster 600 i døgnet at leje pris men i receptionen koster det 1200. Poolen var ikke blevet støvsuget et godt stykke tid, så der var alger osv på kanterne og småsten på bunden. men de havde dog brugt klor. Jeg vil ikke anbefale dette sted til andre vi rejste 2 dage før tid og det gjorde andre gæster også.

We would like to kindly inform you that our hotel was just recently built and completed in 2015. All rooms are new, modern and spacious. Every evening we turn the outside building lights and garden area lights on at 6:00pm. We leave the lights on all night so guests can walk back to their rooms safely. We are sorry that this area seemed dark during your stay. Our pool is cleaned by professional cleaners multiple times each week so we are surprised to hear that some areas were not completely cleaned. We have informed the company of this complaint so we can make sure that this doesn’t happen again. We are sorry that the discussed items above didn’t meet your expectations. We hope you still enjoyed your time on Koh Lanta. You are always welcome at Phutara Lanta Resort.

Die Lage des Hotel war nicht gut, sehr weit weg von allen. Die Frühstück war nichts bestimmtes, einmal gab es Buffet und andere Tag Menuauswahl! Keine Ordnung, wenig Personal und die konnten kein English. Ein junge Mitarbeiter war sehr nett, aber wie gesagt konnte kein englisch! Das Hotel hatte keine gute Service

Vi blev skuffede over hotellet - personalet var flinke nok, men de havde mere travlt med at sludre, end at være imødekommende! Den største skuffelse, var morgenmaden... den var kold- også selv om vi kom 5 min efter den åbnede... de havde fade med gasvarmere under, men de tændte ikke for dem, medmindre de blev bedt om det! Dagen efter var de igen slukkede! Derudover manglede der hele tiden opfyldning, og køkkenet ligger langt fra serveringsstedet...mht hotellets shuttle service ind til Saladan, så kan man kun blive kørt derind kl 10 eller 12- her er byen mere eller mindre død, da det hele sker om aftenen pga varmen! Derudover er det kun gratis den ene vej! Havde været rart med nogle tider om eftermiddagen også! Hotellets restaurant lukker allerede for servering kl 17, de tilbyder at køreren til et andet resort med restaurant, om den er god aner vi ikke, da vi ikke ville tage chancen/ risikoen! Ikke et sted vi ville booke igen desværre!

Hotel super ausgestattet und praktisch gelegen
Das Hotel verfügt über eine gute Infrastruktur, saubere und gut ausgestattete Zimmer und sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr sauber, auch der Pool und praktisch gelegen für verschiedene Aktivitäten. Nur das Frühstückbuffet könnte besser sein, aber das ist unserer Meinung nach in Thailand wo oftmals Hygiene oder Infrastruktur mangelnd sind, zweitrangig. Wenn wieder Koh Lanta, dann auch wieder Phutara :)
