"Good hotel , good food and good area for children "

"This was our 3rd time at the GDM Megaron and I cannot say enough great things about the hotel. Staff is courteous, helpful, always available. Hotel and rooms are clean, quiet, safe and always with immaculate attention to detail. Location couldn’t be any better relative to shopping, dining, walking, airport, seaport etc. this is and always will be my go-to location to stay in Heraklion (and we actually even have family there we could stay with for free, but just prefer to be on our own). It’s obviously a little on the expensive side but well worth it. "

"A convenient mid size resort. Decent food. Amazing beach and big size pool. Pool never gets too crowded. Friendly staff. Only complaint could be lack of staff. Staff seems working long hours and exhausted,They try their best though."

"We frequently stay at this hotel. It is excellent. All the staff are professional and friendly. The rooms have recently been renovated and have walk in showers which are excellent. "

"We arrived at the hotel and immediately they upgraded our room to a room with a private pool (very nice, but unfortunately not usable). Everything was perfect and appreciated. The food in the main room is excellent and with a wide selection, the chef is always there with a big smile. On the other hand, in the two restaurants, unfortunately, the food is not made on site, Just heats it up and serves it. It's a shame, because these are good quality products! Anyway, this is not a complaint, just sharing our feelings. We definitely recommend the place, and of course we will go back there soon!"

"We have used several different Mitsis hotels all of which have been great and the Laguna was just as good. It’s an attractive, well laid out hotel of a nice size. There’s plenty of pool area space and more than enough sun beds. The accommodation was excellent and service superb. We’ve noticed the food choices have been reduced over recent years but they remain really good and to a high quality. The ala carte restaurants were great although quite tightly configured. The breakfast brunch was the least liked with the food no different to to what you can get in the main restaurant. The only thing we were disappointed in was the beach area. In other mitsis hotels there’s always been a dedicated bar and food facilities. At the Laguna there is only a mobile unit which was permanently busy and not worth the wait. The shoreline is also quite rocky and so not the easiest to access the water. Overall though the Laguna is excellent and thoroughly recommended. "
