"Wake up to a magnificent view of Mt Kinabalu just infront of our unit. They could improve on the water system. The unit we stayed has no hot water and the pressure was very low. I was freezing cold after a cold shower. Other than that we loved the place and enjoyed our stay. "

"The property have no wifi, no TV, water heater handle was loose and the water is not hot. The carpet is dirty, just a very basic room with view. Base on what I have paid, this is not worth for the price."

"Very basic but excellent location v near NP entrance, and kind hosts. Wifi was pretty good when switched on. Restaurant opposite park entrance offered breakfast from 6.30. My room was rather tired with barely functioning plumbing, but perfectly adequate considering the location benefit."

"This property is so run down physically, pictures on the website are so deceiving. Spring in bed is so bad, wooden floor creaks, you will keep waking up if you are light sleeper with any movement in bed or across the room. The stench from the toilet is awful if you forget to close the door. Hot water runs out, so you better shower fast. Staff are friendly and accommodating though and the breath taking view of the mountain from your room makes the stay here worthwhile. The management needs to upgrade this hotel as another fellow guest mentioned that this establishment is the same since 16 years ago. If it’s not for the view, I would have checked out and changed hotels. "

"Great place to stay at, within Mt Kinabalu Park. Excellent services and friendly staff. Great place to stay at if you like trekking. Good food and a nice fireplace to keep warm during cold evenings. "
