Staff were excellent and very friendly providing several tips for our stay
This hotel was well located next to the Biken centre. Staff were very polite and caring. Super spacious room and lovely bathroom. The Shinkansen was a 20 minute taxi ride away.
Even better than I expected. Very nice and helpful staff. Nothing at all to complain about. The Western breakfast was a little plain, but the essentials were there, and we are in Japan anyway!
This hotel is not very new but keeps all good points of matured hotel.
Our room, two king size single beds are installed, was spacy and good view to two directions through number of large windows.
Bath room is truly European style, not everything plastic made small Japanese style, fully decollated with marble, large bath tub and shower with multiple shower heads, are separated.
Old town, which is most important attraction of this town, is in a walking distance.
The hotel has a great location and really impressed me as we arrived 3 hours early for check-in and yet they gave us our room.
The staff were fantastic and helpful at every turn.
It’s located close to the historic district, close to Kurashiki Station, Achi Shrine, and T.S.L. Store (Traveler’s Notebooks).
I normally do not talk about the amenities such as soaps etc…. But the Kurashiki Art Hotel is top tier. What amazed me most was the sheer number of choices in the room itself, including: bath balms, hair scrunchies, facial cleansers, moisturizers, as well as a selection targeted at men including aftershave and shaving cream that were great.
We had bath robes, slippers, and pj’s.
I know those can be common, but trying to illustrate how completely this wonderful hotel pampers its guests.
This place gets five stars from me. A MUST stay if you’re headed to Kurashik

Beautiful hotel with great views. Very friendly staff
It was wonderful and good experience in Kurashiki with kind and passionate staffs. I will definitely recommend for others and choose again for next visit.
The hotel is old, but well maintained. The room is spacious and gorgeous. Easy to access major tourism spots. Need to book in advance for a good restaurant nearby, otherwise, difficult to get a table.

The hotel is close from Kurashiki station and very close to the main tourist attractions. The hotel is a bit outdated but the room was large and well equipped with amenities.
Hotel boasted AC and 2 restaurants. The AC was not in operation even through it was warm and humid in mid April. During the three nights of our stay there was no restaurant open and the excuse was that the first 2 nights the restaurant was closed and the last night of our stay we were told it was fully booked but in fact it wasn’t open or only open for a special event dinner. Dissapointing.
