"This property is pretty much perfect as a solo traveller, it is definitely on the lower cost of properties in the town but this does not mean it is unwelcoming, uncomfortable or cold. The room very much reminded me of my university days, small but functional. Breakfast was just right to start the day, with a typical continental fare and dont miss out on a hard boiled egg. "One of the better options in Leysin. The fully-staffed front desk was a deal-maker- check in from 3pm-11pm. I'd almost booked another place until I noticed the rules for check-in on most nearby lodging is only between 4pm-6pm. The staff here is great and on site most of day. Good pool & great view. The buffet restaurant is very convenient (not many options in town) but there's better food nearby. Very happy with my stay."

"Hotel Macchi is beautifully situated in Chatel with rooms facing the mountains and slopes. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were given recommendations on sites to see and visits to do in the area. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the food is our of this world. I highly recommend staying here! We hope to be back soon"
