Happy Days indeed!
The guesthouse owners and staff were all delightful and the place was very well appointed and clean - so nice to be there, we can't speak highly enough about Happy Days, and wouldn't hesitate to return. Well done for a superb guesthouse..

Dieses Guest House ist absolut der Hammer. Super Einrichtung, nette Gastgeber, 5 Minuten mit dem Auto zum Strand nach le morne. Ein Ausblick, der jedem 5* Hotel gerecht werden würde. Sehr großzügige Zimmer. Ein schöner Pool und Außenanlagen. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Vielen Dank an Sabrina und ihr Personal.

The owner (Sabrina) is very kind and helpful. Communication with her was very quick and easy. Very clean and good located. Many restaurants down the street. Close to the beach in Le Morne (5‘ by car). Breakfast was good, they had delicious bread! You can have dinner there, but the communication with the cook is a bit complicated.

Good Stay near Le Morne und Tamarin
Zimmer großzügig geschnitten mit schöner Aussicht auf das Wasser, Mobiliar in die Jahre gekommen. Auf unserem Balkon im 1. Stock Zimmer 7 nur eine Bank zum Sitzen. Frühstück für unsere Verhältnisse und im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels auf Mauritius nicht ausreichend. Lage gut zum Le Morne und Tamarin (20min) und nach Chamarel (10min). Auf Anfrage zum Frühstück wird von Gregory Abendessen gekocht, was sehr sehr gut sein soll (wir haben es nicht getestet). Gutes Netzwerk hinsichtlich Kontakte für Aktivitäten. Insgesamt eher Eindruck eines AirBnBs statt eines Hotels, aber mit sehr familiärem Charakter.

Dear Saskia,Thank you for your review.First of all we would like to clarify some important points.We are not a HOTEL, we are a Guest House BnB.Our furnitures come from Bali, it’s the first time that we receive this kind of comment.Breakfast on the contrary is very good compared to what you pay. Please go and see all our reviews about breakfast, staff, diner etc.For your STANDARDS you should go to a Hotel on the beach, where the price is much more higher.For your standard, especially being Germans, you should normally give us an appropriate time of arrival and advise us if you are late. But this was not done. We asked you the time and then you arrive later and unfortunately you had to wait.In the morning when you come down for breakfast we could feel your negativity, it was a heavy atmosphere.We definitely suggest that you go to HOTELS for your holidays.Kind regardsSabrina and JeanPierre

Wonderful stay
It was fantastic. We stayed 3 nights, but would have loved to stay longer. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. The chef at the place is amazing and very kind as well. Therefore we strongly recommend eating dinner at the guesthouse. At last the room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view.

Happy times
When we first arrived we were surprised that the room was not ready even though we gave a notice beforehand of our time of arrival. Anyhow, our room type was upgraded which was a nice plus right in the beginning. We had lovely time in this accomodation and would definitely recommend to stay here. Staff and owners are extremely nice and friendly, breakfast is great and you can choose to have a dinner as well for a small fee (food is 10x better than in any nearby restaurant). Location is great, less than 5min walk to a road where you can grab a bus to get around. If you want to feel like home while traveling, go to happy days guest house!

Diese Unterkunft ist einfach toll! Die Gastgeber sind der Wahnsinn, man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Man hat alle möglichen Sehenswürdigkeiten in direkter Nähe, Chamarel, Le Morne Berg, Gorges Park, ein Supermarkt ist direkt um die Ecke. Nous avons passé 9 jours au guest house happy days. Les propriétaires Sabrina et Jean -Pierre sont très accueillants, disponibles, à l’écoute et nous ont aidées pour la réalisation de nos activités durant notre séjour. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Il y a la possibilité de dîner sur place certains soirs: nous nous sommes régalées. Je recommande vivement cet endroit car l’accueil et la générosité des propriétaires ont dépassé nos espérances.

Quel super accueil !!!
Guesthouse conviviale façon « Auberge Espagnole » où l’accueil est primordial : quel bel état d’esprit des propriétaires, toujours prêts à vous conseiller et à vous trouver des solutions pour tout. Et en toute simplicité. Petit dej frais et très bon, chambres spacieuses et modernes, lits king size, et juste à côté d’un supermarché et de 2/3 bons restos. Un seul mini bémol, les chiens du quartier qui aboient durant la nuit, mais ça, le guesthouse n’y peut absolument rien. Séjour dont on se souviendra, rien que pour la gentillesse des hôtes !

Tolle unterkunft mit sehr tollem meerblick
Wie waren nur 1 nacht dort, aber siwihl Gastgeber als auch unterkunft waren sehr gut. Ausblick aufs mehr - einfach spitze. Strand zum spazieren und liegen sucht mab aber hier vergeblich. wir hatten aber mietwagen und fuhren am nächsten tag in sowieso weiter

The view in the deluxe rooms are breathtaking. The proprietor is a local surfer with oodles of local knowledge and happy to help make your stay fantastic, and his family and staff are super friendly.

Die Zimmer sind großzügig, sauber und ruhig! Der Besitzer, Jaun-Pierre, ist supernett und hilfsbereit in allen Belangen, ob Ausflüge, Autovermietung etc. er organisiert alles und günstig, völlig unkompliziert. Auch das Abendessen sollte man unbedingt ausprobieren. Das Frühstück ist einfach aber gut. alles sehr familiär. würde es aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen!

In den Bewertungen wurde berichtet, dass die Gäste zum Abendessen mit der Familie eingeladen wurden. Für das Abendessen (täglich Fisch) wurden jedem Gast täglich 900 Rupies (ca. 25 EURO) in Rechnung gestellt. Der Fischgeruch zog auf den Balkon und störte die abendliche Erholung. Wir hatten Probleme bei der Bereitstellung des in Deutschland gebuchten Autos, da die Autovermietung sich nicht an der angegebenen Adresse in Port Louis befand und auch die Telefonnummer nicht existierte. Da auch der Rückgabeort nicht existierte hat uns der Betreiber Unterstützung bei der vereinbarten Abholung des Fahrzeugs am Gästehaus am 02.12.2016 um 15 Uhr zugesagt. Der Betreiber war nicht, wie am Morgen zugesagt, zum vereinbarten Zeitpunkt vor Ort und hat uns auf den späten Nachmittag bzw. den nächsten Morgen vertröstet, obwohl wir uns bereits um 5.30 Uhr auf den Weg zum Flughafen machen mussten. Wir haben das Auto dann selbst zum Flughafen gebracht. Die Zimmer sind zwar modern und ansprechend eingerichtet. Dass kein Fernseher in den Zimmern vorhanden war entspricht u. E. auch nicht dem mauritischen Standard.
