The Shores is very conveniently located right on the beach, walking distance to shops, restaurants, and water sports. The staff is very friendly. The shuttle is convenient and will take you short distances when scheduled. Overall a great experience!!

Amazing location right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants. The property is beautiful— mid-century, Spanish style architecture. The room was a little dated but very comfortable and clean. The beach service was super convenient and we enjoyed the fun games in courtyard. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed the beach access and pool. The location was great Ames everything was clean. It would have been nice to know more about the hotel amenities.. ordering drinks poolside or how the towel return worked. However we really enjoyed our stay and were there for the beach and we definitely took advantage of that! I would stay here again.

Great hotel location and staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room had a great view of the park next door and the beach from the balcony. Beds were very comfortable and having the restaurant attached was very handy if we were too tired to venture out for dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Love the location, morning and evening walks on the beach and watching the sunset from the outdoor patio with the fire pits! Being able to take the shuttle over to the Cove and having the beach service team set up umbrellas chairs and towels for us on the beach.

Beautiful stay. Kids were playing on the beach and we didn’t have ti bring them in and get them cleaned up for dinner. We ordered right there on the patio and they came in all sandy and happy and we ate dinner right there. It was a wonderful stay.

Great location for a slow stay in La Jolla. I appreciate the laid back vibe of this older property. It’s well maintained and has everything I needed to fully unwind. I love that it isn’t stuffy. I don’t get the $55 parking fee. That’s steep. I highly recommend this place especially if you can find some where else to park.

We stayed at the La Jolla Shores Hotel for the second week of our California vacation after a week at Disneyland. It was a much needed retreat after a busy week in the parks. The building and rooms are clearly aging and the bathroom could definitely use work but we chose this hotel for the beautiful location and easy beach access. Th restaurant was wonderful and we enjoy wonderful views and sunsets.
