"The property was difficult to get to - road conditions are not good. Upon arrival no one answered the door so we were forced to stay in our car that evening because we could not find another hotel. We called and called and tried knocking on door etc. very bad service. We have requested a refund and have not heard back. "

"This was a great place to stay for two nights in late October and to take out and back day trips by train to Siena and Florence on back-to-back days. Very close to the train station - very convenient. Breakfast in the restaurant in the morning was small, but good. Highly recommend this location! It's small, but serviced and supported very well by the staff at the restaurant. "

"One of the most beautiful and peaceful hotels I’ve been to! Service was great, with an extremely attentive and helpful staff. The rooms are pristine, clean, decorated so tastefully and well equipped. The food from the hotel’s restaurant is healthy and delicious. We visited the farm on property where they source their food from which was a great experience. Pool, tennis courts, spa - all top tier. The grounds itself are absolutely stunning. It was exactly what we were looking for during our relaxing stay in Umbria. "
