La Ville-aux-Clercs Holidays

Cet hôtel à l’apparence correct, sans plus, n’a été qu’une suite de problèmes! Premièrement nous avions réservé une chambre relativement grande pour 3 personnes et nous n’avons eu qu’une fond de pièce au 6e étage, avec une douche si petite qu’on ne pouvait même pas se retourner dedans! L’ascenseur, également si petit qu’oui ne contient que deux petites personnes (sans valises!), était constamment en panne. Nous sommes restés pris à l’intérieur os moins de 7 fois pendant un séjour de 4 nuits! Dois-je répété que nous étions au 6e étage… le wi-fi n’a pas fonctionné pendant 3 jours et on nous a dit : « le technicien est en vacances ». Dans tout Paris il n’y a qu’une seule personne pouvant réglé un problème de wi-fi en 2026??? Finalement, la toile au mur, loin d’être une œuvre d’art, était mal accrochée et est tombée sur mon fils en plein milieu de la nuit. Terrible séjour, je ne recommande pas du tout.

A very comfortable hotel in a central location. Room was of a small size but comfortable with a nice bed. Bus and metro lines are close. Excellent breakfast, and very friendly and helpful staff. The fitness room is quite minimal and neither elliptical or treadmill machines seemed in good condition. Plenty of great Paris walks to be enjoyed for exercise. We would stay here again.

It was everything we expected and more. The room was clean. Air-conditioning was powerful ( needed during the very hot days of July). When we made the reservation, we did not select breakfast for the extra fee. We were sure we would want it. But it looked so good one morning, we asked if we could add it and were politely told no. The cook looked busy, so we understood. Very good service overall though, For example, we had problem with our Safe once and also the induction range and the person at the desk helped right away. The bathroom was great as well, yes, amazing shower. Great location. But we highly recommend — if you want the breakfast — to arrange that when you check in or when make the reservation.

We loved our stay at the Normandy Hotel! The location is fantastic, perfect if you want to be close to the Louvre, Rue Saint-Honoré, the Opéra area, and many of Paris’s main attractions. Everything is within walking distance, which made exploring the city incredibly easy. The rooms are on the smaller side, but there were two of us in the room and we fit comfortably. If you have the option to book one of the larger rooms, I think it would definitely be worth it. Having the taqueria and the crêpe place right at the hotel was also incredibly convenient and worked wonderfully for a quick and easy meal. And I have to mention the bed, the mattress was AMAZING! Honestly, one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve ever slept in. After walking around Paris all day, it was heaven!
