The staff are amazing -- everyone was incredibly helpful and professional. The room was good sized and very clean. The hotel grounds are lovely, with a very nice pool, private beach, and gardens. The breakfast buffet is varied and delicious, and the restaurant serves alcohol in the afternoon and evening. We liked the Jayakarta so much that we stayed there twice. We will happily stay there again on our next visit.

Nice hotel but quite dated.

Nice hotel, quite dated but room had everything required. Pool is nice, beach lovely for sunset. Gym is not in good condition, rusting equipment, ect. Staff are friendly and helpful. Appreciated the airport transfers.

Er had a lovely stay. The staff is very helpfull with all kinds of questions. The fod is ok for kids but nothing special for aldults. They provide free suffle service in the aftensol and for dinner time, so you can always go into town and have your food. Its an amazing place for sunset.

Cosy and spacious

Had a great stay at the Jayakarta hotel. It is a lovely hotel, very clean, relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. Check in was fast. They upgraded me to sea view free of cost which was very kind of them. Room was very spacious and also the bathroom. They have room service. The food was good, a bit pricey. The pool area was great. They extended my check out to an extra half an hr due to my flight in the evening which I really appreciated. Free pick up and drop off shuttle included.

Traditional Bali Style

Solo traveller. Airport pickup, friendly staff, well dressed, early checkin. welcome drink. Huge suite room with balcony, traditional styled rooms, comfortable beds, bathroom with bath and amenities. Traditional Bali style hotel clean and tidy. On the beachfront, swimming pool is nice, with day beds. Food in the restaurant is of high standard. Little out of the main town, approximately 8 minutes drive away, they have a shuttle bus which can take you into town and back. Close to harbour for day trips, explore the beautiful islands.

I had a great stay at The Jayakarta Suite Komodo Flores. Staff and manager were really lovely and helpful. It’s a bit far from town but the hotel provides a regular shuttle bus service if you want to go out for lunch or dinner. The pool and room was very nice looking out to sea, and the garden and grounds are attractive. Buffet breakfast was included in my price, and they had a good selection of Indonesian and western foods, plus fruit and coffee. There’s a gym and massage service, but I didn’t use these. I highly recommend The Jayakarta Suite Komodo Flores for a relaxing, comfortable stay in Labuan Bajo and I would stay here next time I visit.

The room was adequately comfortable. The staff were friendly and keen to help although did not always understand what was being said. Food ok. There were only about 12-15 sun-beds around the pool for 70 rooms. Making it impossible to comfortably sit around the pool. They need to sort this.

The pool is great, the food is first class, rooms clean and mine had a great view. Bathrooms spacious and functional. Only issue was they were out of almost all spirits the whole time we were there. Even the special cocktail of the day, no one knew how to make. I also ordered a whiskey sour (off the drinks menu) and got a shot of Jack Daniels. It's not a big deal, it was still a wonderful stay, just need to address that minor point.

Disappointing stay

I would say not so good. Keycard didn't work when given room initially. Waited in room as they tried to repair lock unsuccessfully. So changed to another awful room. Air con was hopeless, wasn't cold at all. Curtain in front of bathroom door was really annoying so draped it over cupboard door. Buffet dinner was really disappointing, unappetising and not tasty. Breakfast was not good either. Didn't like the sparrows flying onto the food counters pecking off scraps of food. Lots of flies around our dining table as well. Waited for return shuttle scheduled to pick us up from town at 9.15pm but didn't appear till 9.35pm. Photos looked good on the website but rooms are pretty old and unattractive.

We enjoyed our stay at Jayakarya hotel and suites! They took great care of the property and were constantly cleaning somewhere. Our room was very clean and had excellent air conditioning. The staff was very hospitable and even took the time to call our tour company when they didnt show up on time. The food was excellent, we especially enjoyed the nasi goreng with a little extra sambal. We were able to walk down to the beach, it wasnt a good beach for swimming, but we had a very nice walk and got some excellent sunset photos. If we come back to Flores we would be happy to book a room with Jayakarta!

The property itself is beautiful, and my room was great—spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. I was lucky to catch a stunning sunset on the beach, and the food at the restaurant was very good. The kitchen even accommodated an important dietary need on the fly, which I truly appreciated. The service in the restaurant was excellent. However, the overall experience was let down by a few service issues. I had messaged the hotel about a week before check-in to request a late checkout (which they offer), but never received a response. When I asked at check-in, I was told it wasn’t possible due to full occupancy and that it came with an extra fee—exactly why I tried to arrange it in advance. Additionally, despite having VIP status, I didn’t receive any upgrade. I had to ask them to adjust my restaurant bill afterward to reflect the VIP discount, which should have been applied automatically. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay, but the communication and handling of VIP benefits could be improved.
