"I absolutely loved my stay here! The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a welcoming and amazing stay, and even though my flight times changes three times, they still managed to get me a ride to the hotel promptly on my airport arrival. The food was great, it was so clean, and little surprising touches to my stay that made me feel like royalty. I will 100% stay here again!"

"Beautiful hotel with breathtaking views. Breakfast and dinner buffets were good and there’s also a second restaurant for lunch and dinner to order off a menu. Pool and property is well maintained. Staff is helpful if you need anything or want to book something. Rooms were a good size and bed was comfortable. We loved our stay here and much preferred it over a stay in Ponta Delgada as we had a rental car. You just can’t get that relaxing beach resort feel in the city like you can here."

"Hotel Gaivota is located in an outstanding location in Ponta Delgada for convenience to shopping, restaurants, the harbor, and the historic city center. It is also adjacent to a small grocery store that had premade dishes and space to eat outdoors. It was quicker and more affordable than some of the restaurants and food Can be purchase to prepare in the apartments. There is also a pharmacy very nearby and they were helpful in getting some medication for a cold. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful! They small apartments were spacious and had a wonderful balcony! I thought the breakfast times were excellent-until 10:30 am! The selections were varied each day and they included an à la carte menu. Parking is available for 10 Euros/day underground near the hotel. I would definitely return to Hotel Gaivota on a future trip to Ponta Delgada!"
