  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

Stay was “ok”

We got the cabin with a queen bed. The room was cozy. Problem is you don’t have access to the lobby because it’s across the street and this street is very busy. Difficult to cross on foot. There’s no phone nor hair dryer in the cabin so you cannot access the front desk. Had to check in across the street. Also we booked it on hotels.com with a price but it says “ pay at hotel”. So when you get to the hotel you have to pay 4% more if you use your credit card BUT if you use cash you save 3%. So odd Last thing is this hotel is filled with people who sit and drink beers all day. I’m not sure if they live there but there were MANY cases of beer cans all around the garbage bin which was right next to us. We had to ask them to close their huge van doors to get to our parking ( a little uncomfortable).

This is a very child friendly hotel. The pool, swing set and grilling area were perfect for us traveling with our 3 young children. The only thing I could possibly complain about is that their tv channels were quite limited and really didn't have any young kids programming. But that's a small thing to complain about.

When we arrived, there was a sign on the door, telling us to go across the street and check in at that hotel. When we signed in, he gave us our key, but then changed it to a cabin at Brookside property before we left the office. The bed was a full sized instead of a queen, and was very very old and very uncomfortable. The springs went into our back and hips all night. Limited sleep. We considered leaving but were too tired to drive the 3 hours home. It was a long weekend planned outing that we looked forward to in the Lake George area, but I would recommend patrons asked to view a room and sit on the bed before they are committed for the evening.
Full bed with small cot - we originally had our suitcase on the small cot, but took turns using it to sleep.

Booked at $123 because it was a Saturday night but certainly wasn’t worth it. There was a car show so reving late night. We checked in at 5pm and it had rained all day so we were not there for the show. Ended up being charged $193 with tax. Definitely not worth it. More than we spent in Cape Cod.

I arrived at 8:30pm and was told my reservation had been cancelled. I had to leave and find a place for my husband and I to stay on a Saturday night in June in a resort area! The hotel next door had one room left and we had to spend $100 more! I think this owner gave my room away. It was an awful experience.

2 nights of noise from our neighbors children. After repeated complaints nothing was done. Young children allowed to run rampant from 10:00 pm thru 2:30 am. After telling these people ourselves to quiet down or the police would be called, they finally went to bed. Will not stay again.

Let me start with this was one of the lesser expensive motels in the area. The room was clean and had a refridgerator and microwave. However, the walls were really thin, and we could hear both neighbors. There was no fan in the bathroom, which meant that it got really steamy after showers. The towels were small and thin. The wifi was spotty at best. There was no cable TV, so you had to stream to watch TV, which was frustrating. And while we got daily housekeeping, the cups, coffee, and creamers were not replenished daily.
