"We would highly, highly recommend Ichirino Kogen Hotel Roan. Dinner was phenomenal - some of the best food we had on our one month trip travelling around Japan. The restaurant itself was comfortable and lovely. It was a little cold at first, but the grill warmed the room while the sake warmed us from the inside :) The service at the front desk was perfect, it could not have possibly been better. We loved the private baths, especially the outdoor open air one. The hot water was the perfect temperature and it left our skin feeling incredible. The robot mascot was so much fun and we delighted in interacting with him and watching others (especially the children staying in the hotel, who seemed to find him magical) interacting with him.
