"We chose this hotel because it had the option for the in-suite Jacuzzi tub and had an indoor pool. This was just a mini weekend getaway after a really stressful few weeks of work, and we were really looking forward to swimming, but it was supposed to rain so we chose a hotel with an indoor pool so our plans wouldn’t be ruined. However, the pool room was kept at a very cool 75° (this is very cool for the south where outdoor temps are closer to 90° at this time of year) and the water was not heated. I think I could’ve dealt without the water being heated if the pool room was warmer - but even completely submerged in the water we had goosebumps. It was too uncomfortable to swim and ruined our plans to enjoy the pool. Which was a bummer, considering this was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Otherwise, everything else was ok. We didn’t get up early enough for breakfast, and didn’t stay long enough to need maid service, so I don’t have any comments on that. The in-room jacuzzi tub is a nice feature, allowing us to relax and soak while watching a movie. The plug kind of sucked though, and wasn’t fully sealed, so we had to keep adding water periodically. But you usually need to warm it back up after a bit anyway, so that wasn’t a problem. The bed was a little too firm for our liking, we prefer a more medium mattress. The room overall was nice enough, but even set at 60 with the fan on constant “high” it never felt cooler than 70ish."

"It is clean but the lobby looks tired with worn pillows, and the walls are so dark and even worse on the top floors where the rooms are. Way to dark. Also, the upper floors smell like dogs. They do allow dogs but there needs to be some air freshener built into the different floors. They have one little foster dog they keep in the lobby for like two weeks at a time. Guests can take it for walks, etc. but I have mixed feelings about only one being there. He was precious though. Rooms are small and no more than two people can fit comfortably. We had left over body lotion and something else in our shower, so I was not sure it was meant to be there or that the shower was not cleaned after the last guests and those products removed. You have to pay $2 to park each night and I don't really understand why but you do. The hotel is in a good area with restaurants. The women staff were very nice; there is a man that works at the desk and he was not. Don't know what his problem was but he was not welcoming. The man that cleaned the rooms was kind. We did not eat there so I can't comment on the food or the bar. It just needs a good refresh."
