"POSITIVE: - Staff very friendly and helpful. The were attentive, helpful and seemed like really genuine people. - Received individually wrapped chocolate chip cookies and toy cars at checkin, which was a lovely surprise and very much loved by my kids. - Free basic breakfast (croissants, bananas, toast, Pop-Tarts, coffee, tea). Seating available for guests. - Location: 50 minutes from Avila beach, 5 minutes from Hearst Castle, 5 minutes from Cambria. Note it is not beach-front by any means. - Very cute, clean and on-theme lobby, with fully built lego figures on display and a motorcycle. Very fun ambiance in the lobby (only). CONS: - Dingy and dirty. Our room was dark and the carpet was really dingy and dirty. We had to wipe up a spill on the carpet and so much dirt and grime came off on the cloth. It grossed up out. The handle kept falling off of our fridge. Our phone didn't work. There was mold in the bathroom grout. This was the biggest issue about our stay. - Cloudy pool: We were really excited about the indoor pool, given the rainy weather. Disappointed to find cloudy water and general run down feeling of the pool. They did have small pool towels available. Overall, it was an affordable option, but given the cleanliness of the room, I wouldn't recommend it. I really wish I could, because the staff were so welcoming."
