Hotels with Swimming Pools in Lakewood

"This hotel is the worse Laquinta we’ve ever stayed at. We’d just stayed at the Laquinta in Perry GA the night before for $110…black and white difference in space, hospitality, comfort, cleanliness and breakfast. We chose to pay more at the Laquinta in Effingham than the price of Holiday express because our prior experiences at Laquinta has always been good. This hotel is a Motel 6 with a Laquinta name. When the front entry rug is dirty and no one is at the front desk for check in cuz she was lounging with a friend in the lobby, your stay is off to a bad start. When the front desk clerk never greets or smiles at you, you know there’s something wrong with the management. In fact, we never had a cleaning person, a kitchen worker or front desk person smile or greet us. How unusual! We’ve NEVER had to walk through the middle of the bathroom to get to the bedroom, or had a hotel door so thin we could hear every word in the hallway. Go look out the window of room 216. Would you pay $158 for that room? We won’t be back, in fact, if the Laquinta brand has sunk this low, we’re done with Laquinta. "

"Property needs some serious renovations. Carpets are stained & dirty. Room was musty smelling. Had to sleep with windows open to air it out. Most of parking is behind the building, so have to walk around the building with luggage to get in & out. Interior signs for ice & vending are covered over with duct tape. Breakfast was poor. Amenities are out of order. Wont be staying here again. "
