"New build hotel with small pool, large rooms, equipped kitchen and huge bed! Laundry can be done on site and you can also hire a scooter without need for deposit or passport which is handy. 300 baht deposit needed for room key on arrival, worth noting. Location is around 10-15 mins walk to lamai beach but lots of food places around. "we booked another hotel and stayed there due to various things 1. no food allowed by pool 2. no drinks allowed by the pool 3. the room made all our clothes smell damp 4. unlike Thailand the welcome when we arrived was poor. carried our own bags no welcome drink just a reception tell us the rules of what we cant do. the hotel itself is a good standard, but it's very Western you could be in benidorm so that's a personal thing that we didn't like. the food we ordered when we arrived was cold. we did not complain or talk to the staff as it's just a waste of energy. we just went to another hotel not a terrible place but certainly not for us and would not go back"
