"We had a lovely relaxing 2 nights at Hotel Kompas in Lapad. It was a nice way to break up the busyness of Old town. We relaxed by the pool and really loved the beautiful breakfast spread. Our room was spacious, quiet, and had plenty of thoughtful touches like afternoon chocolates delivered by housekeeping. The lounge area was nice with good service. We really enjoyed our stay. For two sisters traveling there wasn’t a ton for us to do in Lapad. It looked great for couples and very small and safe for families. "

"This is a great hotel in a beautiful part of the world. Breakfast is a vast buffet, all good quality and great choice. Beds are comfortable, rooms spacious and bathrooms are nice and clean. Pool area is great, really well maintained, and set in lovely park areas. Dubrovnik isn't cheap, but there's bars nearby where you can get a meal for just over £10 and a pint for £5 at the right time of day. Staff were all extremely helpful, polite and charming. Nearby promenade with little secluded swimming areas and bars topped it all off perfectly. Bus into the old town is only a couple of minutes away, but does get extremely busy, hot and "queuing" can be a little challenging. Taxis are extortionate but Ubers cheap and plentiful. Only downside was the 30 euro evening buffet which was pretty disappointing. Would Def stay again without any hesitation."

"Loved the resort and enjoyed other resorts nearby. We worked out at the gym, ate on property (great breakfast and cocktails!) & enjoyed the beach access & view."

"Great hotel in lovely peaceful location, a 10 minute bus/taxi ride from Dubrovnik old town. Really very good facilities including a number of pools, easy access to a cordoned off area for sea swimming ( and jumping!). The Croatian coast is very picturesque with crystal clear water."
