"We left after one night without showering. 55 steps to our room and no banisters, uneven steps, 4th floor up with no fire alarm, no fire extinguisher or escape route. the bedrooms we in a converted attic space and the steps down ranged from 4 inches to 9 1/2 - try that at night with no bannister. They said there was no elevator, what they didn't say was the stairs had no railings, were white with no edge marking - one false step and you would be on your head. Also they said the was no carbon monoxide alarm - but no fire either!! The place is a death trap. The pillows are lumpy or 8 inches of foam rubber - just a cheap remodel of an old apartment building. No body there to talk to - when I called the person said they would call back - but did not! and said they covered the description - they did not. This place needs to be sued."

"The apartment was more beautiful in person than in photos. It is in the perfect location just outside of the city walls—away from the crowds. The rooms and bathroom are spacious, the kitchen is beautiful and has every appliance and utensil you could possibly need, and the view is breathtaking. The apartment is in perfect condition, as if it were renovated just this year. It can easily sleep 4. The loft can sleep 2, but I’d recommend that for older kids or teens since it’s up a ladder. And the beds and pillows are so comfortable—like being at home! Marko, the host is available whenever you need him. He answers every question within minutes and makes sure you have what you need. We were picked up from the airport and dropped at the Ferry for reasonable fees. Marko is also a tour guide and we took advantage of a sunset tour and then a small side trip to the arboretum. He is a native Croatian and so knowledgeable about the region. I can’t recommend this property highly enough."

"The staff was most accommodating with information about the property as well as the area. This was most important to a first time visitor. They provided a GREAT Breakfast, complimentary, and discounts when dining at their seaside restaurant. The room was both clean and satisfactory."

"Loved this wee apartment. Literally 2 minutes from the old town Dubrovnik. We had the most amazing view over the west harbour. Ask for apartment 6. It's the only one with a view. Bed was comfortable. Good pillows,which is rare. The only down side is the amount of hot water for a shower. It's from a tank so it's limited. I had to ration it when showering! The host also arranged an airport transfer for us. €40 Totally worth it. I would absolutely try and book this if I'm ever back in Dubrovnik."

"The hotel itself was clean and pleasant, though we only saw staff during check-in, so it felt quite self-service. Overall, a decent and quiet base for exploring Dubrovnik."

"This is a nicely decorated apartment located a few minutes walk from Pile Gate, which is amazingly convenient. The apartment has most things I needed, including a teapot and kettle, and a washing machine for laundry. There are four rooms sharing one common kitchen space (with one sink and two electric hobs plus microwave). I was there alone when a family of four arrived to stay in another room. The two other rooms, which could have accommodated at least another four people were empty. It was crowded, so I stayed mostly in my room. One shower for up to eight adults might be tricky in the summer, but it was not a problem in cool mid-April. The bus from the bus depot/ferry terminal is very close. There were no smoke alarms as far as I could tell. The wifi was pretty good but went off from time to time. Some of the electric outlets need repairing. The shutters do not close so if you are light sensitive, you will need eye shades. If you want to do grocery shopping you will need to plan carefully as there is nothing significant and affordable in the area."

"Nina was gracious host and super helpful arranging reservations and transportation before our visit. An amazing and unique property right outside the gate to old town overlooking the walls and bay. It really is breathtaking. Very nice new and modern room with personal touches and included minibar. Beds are firm with lots of pillows. We loved leaving the windows open to hear the ocean and enjoy some wine on the shared patio. The lounge with included coffee, refreshments and snacks was a huge bonus rather than going out to an expensive breakfast each morning. It’s very quiet and private for being right next to old town and all the restaurants steps very close. It is a little bit difficult to get your luggage down the stone steps/pathway to the property, and there are no elevators. It would be difficult to stay here if you aren't able to climb stairs well. We would highly recommend Sea Rocks and would definitely stay again next time in Dubrovnik."
