"Friendy, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Great location*. The room had old school amenities like a laundry line in the bath and a bottle opener screwed to the door jam. The only fault is a shortage of electrical outlets. To charge my phone I had to resort to the hairdryer outlet in the bathroom. *To get to this hotel by vehicle (e.g. with luggage), approach the port and historic center area from the north, taking exit 32 from highwayTF5. If you try to come from the south, you will likely be frustrated, because 90% of the streets are one-way against you! Come in from north and you'll drive right up near this hotel."

"I stayed at the The Ritz-Carlton, Abama with my husband and baby. On the second day of our trip, I contacted the concierge to request assistance with freezing our baby’s milk ice packs, and a member of staff came to our room to collect them. At checkout, we requested that the ice packs be returned to us. We were informed that someone would bring them down shortly, so we waited in our room for nearly an hour for an update that never came. Eventually, we went to reception ourselves, only to be told that nothing matching our description could be found in the freezer. A search was later conducted in the room service freezer, but the ice packs were still nowhere to be found. What made the experience even more frustrating was the dismissive attitude of the front desk staff. We were told that, according to their records and call logs, no calls had been made from our room that day, and we were even questioned about whether a staff member had actually come to collect the ice packs. The receptionist even showed us that there was no record or log of the request. I then requested that they review the CCTV footage near our room to confirm that a member of staff had indeed been sent to collect the items. At that point, the receptionist became noticeably quiet, especially as I had in fact called multiple times that day, including another request for an ice bucket. By this stage, we were already running late for our flight"

"Excellent hotel. Staff are amazing. Plenty of choice in the buffet. Particularly enjoyed The Beach Club restaurant. Pools are heated and there’s always loads of sunbeds available. Pool towels are also provided. Enjoyed the evening entertainment and bar staff always walking around ready to fetch you drinks. "

"We had a fantastic stay here. Check in was simple. We arrived a little early due to flight times but were able to store our bags and start using the facilities straight away. Then, when our room was ready, we had a lovely spacious and clean room overlooking the pools. Ery and Blue on the entertainment team were outstanding, full of of fun and enthusiasm throughout our stay for all of the daytime and evening activities. They were joined by Hector and Romen, two trainees, who quickly established themselves in the entertainment team and the four of them really made our holiday. Unfortunately, the day that Ery and Blue were both off, the cover staff (Laura) was a little lacklustre. The food was very good and definitely one of the better all-inclusive buffets I have experienced. There was good variety and always being topped up in both the main restaurant and the snack bar. The check out experience was a little disappointing. The reception staff were more interested in checking in new guests early than letting us check out. If our transfer to the airport had been any earlier, we may have had a problem. All in all, a very lovely stay and we will return"

"Stunning property right on the Sea. My room overlooked the sea and was overall clean and comfortable. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant/bar staff were friendly but perhaps because I didn’t pay the all inclusive package and was paying per meal/drink, I’d have to ask to be served. It would also be nice if there were staff circulating and provide service to the day bed areas. The hotel would experience more profit if that were the case. Overall, an amazing property and a great stay. I felt very safe as a solo, female traveler."

"Lovely hotel with incredible views over the sea, very nice pool, good location with restaurants etc nearby and a 15 mins walk to the main part of Puerto de la Cruz (a bit steep on the way back). Plenty of parking within 5-10 mins walk. Breakfast is good, only negative is that the lifts are quite slow. "
