Lavras Novas is a little known town of Minas Gerais next to the historical city of Ouro Preto. The access is made by dirt road and the great attraction is the contact with nature. It has paradisiacal sites, trails, waterfalls and it is possible to hire guided tours and 4x4 alternative transportation. It has simple and cozy inns and restaurants. And at night it is still possible to see a magnificent starry sky that is not found in the big cities!

"Pior experiência q já tive e olha q viajo muito me hospedo muito essa pousada não tem estrutura nenhuma pra receber hóspedes eu reservei 2 quartos um parecia casa pau a pique o outro o chuveiro e a banheira não funcionava fiquei de 14 h até 18 tentando ligar não esquentava nada ai me passaram o um quarto muito inferior do q paguei e lá quando deu 23h entrou pelo telhado um gambá enorme q já morava lá eu saí correndo até de calcinha pra pousada afora um escuridão matagal não achava se quer um...

"Hotel fica numa ladeira muito inclinada numa rua estreita, tornando a entrada e saida do estacionamento quase impossivel, principalmente se o seu carro for grande e os funcionarios nao ajudam, pra nao se comprometerem. Entrar e sair do estacionamento foi simplesmente assustador. Hotel tem praticamente o mesmo preço dos demais na regiao, mas nao oferece café da manha. Quarto e cama OK, mas tudo muito empoeirado. O hotel estava praticamento vazio, mas nos foi dado um quarto com dois andares de escada, desnecessariamente. "

"The hotel is absolutely beautiful and well in theme with the surroundings, old colonial charm, that being said some of the fixtures and the flooring tiles could be updated. I highly recommend it. The restaurant was also great we had breakfast and dinner there the food and the service was excellent.We extended our stay by one night as we loved the hotel that much."
