"Wir waren 2 Nächte im Hotel, für die Dauer war der Aufenthalt in Ordnung, aber das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr ruhig und ab vom Schuss gelegen. Der check-in war unkompliziert, allerdings wurde uns gesagt, dass uns der Nachweis der Kurtaxe nachgereicht wird. Ist nie passiert und da es bei vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten Ermäßigung gibt, wenn man den Nachweis der Kurtaxe vorlegt, war das blöd. Wir hätten an der Rezeption nachfragen müssen, was schade ist. "The property is well out in the countryside, not too far from the Polish border at Słubice, about 90 mins east of central Berlin. Set on a lake, it’s tranquil. A collection of different buildings set apart, with short walks to the restaurant, spa, reception etc. After check in I had a bit of a shock when I got to the room, as it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest! I went straight back to reception and they were as shocked as me. Life isn’t about not making mistakes, but how you deal with them- and this matter was handled well. I received a profuse and genuine apology and was immediately upgraded to a suite. I guess the only thing extra that could’ve been done to compensate was a welcome drink at the restaurant where they were aware I was going to be dining at shortly, that would’ve been an appreciated touch. That said, the suite was very large, and tastefully designed. The property is rural in nature, mostly wooden. The suite has its bed on mezzanine level, with a large seating area and balcony. A walk in wardrobe and double bathroom. My original room that I saw briefly, was large, with a separate seating area and bedroom all on one level. I don’t think it had a balcony but normally I would’ve been very satisfied with it. The restaurant is set on the lake too, with 2 courses for €35 or 3 for €42. It’s a high standard I didn’t visit the spa, but did have a swim in the 25m outdoor pool - a fresh 22•C There is a fully heated indoor pool too Highly recommend"

"We had a great time in Tropical Islands! It is understaffed and people there work very hard but were alsways friendly. We looked up their salaries and where shocked how little they make. 50% of the profit goes to a privat equity firm, which means some rich people get richer and probably don't care about long lines at the checkin or technical stuff not working right. Also, the rain forest looks like it needs some love. We loved the atmosphere. We had a very special time."

"I was there for my birthday. The facility was lovely and historic. Room was huge with pretty view of the city. Breakfast buffet was good with a big selection. Only thing was they didn’t make my birthday special. Just gave me two tiny chocolates lol. With all the money spent there they could have atleast given me a slice of cake. I had breakfast and dinner there, nothing not even a welcome fruit platter. They sure have no idea to celebrate :-("
