"Amazing stay! Really an oasis in the jungle. We both slept very well and spent hours relaxing in the hammocks reading and listening to the jungle sounds. The room was very comfortable and the surroundings was beautiful. The perfect relaxing start to our Yucutan adventure. We really enjoyed the breakfast, the room, the swimming pool and the hosts. An extra thank you to Sian for the book. We will definitely come back. "

"Ava resort is lovely, quite close to airport- about 10mins away. Plenty choices for food- they have Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican grill, intercontinental buffet, steak, teppayanki. You do have to book early for some of them as they get booked quickly. There’s also almost 24 hours room service; a cafe that u can order sandwiches for tours etc or just food in the middle, and an ice cream place. They also have a teens club from 11 years though family time in the afternoons & evening where the whole family can go- has games, basketball pitch, some table football & tennis & drinks. There is also a kids club. They also have tennis court if u want to hire though closes 5.30 or so. There is lots of pools, obstacle course on the pool & kayaking which was included for us as part of the all inclusive- u just need to book but we got on same day within an hour. Our room was a family suite & we were upgraded to the one with a jacuzzi which was lovely. They also ask if any special occasions when I go to restaurant & they celebrated our anniversary which was lovely. There is a games arcade, bowling, FX gaming, spa but you pay extra for these. My only ish to s the aggressive marketing- literally when we arrived someone was trying to get us to book us on a presentation rather than telling us about the hotel & our benefits. That was a big turn off Thankfully we were assigned a PA who told us more about the activities available and would contact me each day to book whatever we needed."

"My family did our annual summer vacation at Royalton Splash Riviera in Cancun, Mexico, 2026. The staff from the front door to the room care staff to the amenities staff was great ! The pools were great ! The bar at the pool was great as was the service there. The lunch wagons were an added pleasure and convenience. We especially liked the coffee shop. The food at 6 of 7 eateries was excellent (no lobster offered) as was the staff. We missed the Italian restaurant. However, wherever we dined, the choice of foods was excellent. Our grandkids loved the waterpark. However, it closed at 5pm daily. That was a big disappointment considering the number of kids that were there. And ,the worse of all was that THE OCEAN WAS OFF LIMITS DUE TO SEAWEED INFESTATION ( for the whole week ! ) It smelled like a sewage plant had exploded ! That alone ruined an otherwise great experience. We've traveled throughout the Caribbean and never experienced an "ocean off limits" trip. That fact alone will be a major consideration to our decision to return to Cancun, Mexico beaches. You would be wise to ask about ocean access before you schedule your vacation. All in all, I am reluctant to recommend Royalton Splash Riviera Resort in Cancun "if" you want to enjoy the ocean. Lastly, hallway noise between midnight- 7am was very disturbing, everyday. Thus, my rating of 3,5 out of 5 stars. The accommodations and staff are worth giving them a try if the ocean is available ."

"Staff are friendly and helpful Pools are at a good depth for my kids, which took the worry away of being on the alert. Room was clean and well kept, however I did not like the design of no pricacy locks for the showers and toilets. My kids did not like it either."

"Quiero recomendar este resort porque, en general, tuve una excelente experiencia. La calidad y el servicio fueron muy buenos, y sin duda lo recomiendo. Como sugerencia para mejorar aún más la experiencia, considero que podrían incluir más opciones de entretenimiento y extender el horario de los bares de la piscina. La piscina está disponible las 24 horas, pero los bares cierran a las 6:00 p. m., por lo que sería ideal que permanecieran abiertos durante más tiempo. También quiero destacar el excelente trabajo de varios miembros del personal: * David, del spa * César, del Satsu * Arturo y Aquino, del buffet * Graciela, de Housekeeping * Camila, de la recepción *Enrique del bar del lobby Los chicos de los ejercicios en la picsina no Recuerdo sus nombres !!! Todos fueron demasiado amables, atentos y profesionales. Se nota que realizan su trabajo con mucha dedicación y hacen que la experiencia de los huéspedes sea aún mejor. ¡Muchas gracias a todos por su excelente servicio! Volveré !!!!"
