"Was upgraded to a lake view room. Decided to stay another night and they were able to upgrade me again (mid-week). Loved the view and the beach. I saw one if the most beautiful sunrises of my life. My room was very nice, quiet (no road noise and quiet ac), and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated that there was a restaurant on-site that had good food and was reasonable priced, especially after a long day of exploring the area and not wanting to leave the hotel again. Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, waffle, and OJ (there were other items as well). All staff was very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again."
"Breakfast was huge and fine. Convenient, beautiful view. Keith and Joe provided good service.
Saturday night the hotel was full of drunk, loud wedding guests laughing and talking in the hall. I had to say "Please, people are trying to sleep" twice between 11 pm and midnight.
The grounds and porch are gorgeous. Don't get a room off the porch. Even though most of the porch is roped off til 10 am, several people on both days stepped over the rope and sat talking loudly outside others' room The hotel needs to hang a sign from the rope saying something like "Closed: ,quiet zone until 10 am".
I took a shower and couldn't find the hairdryer. I looked through all the drawers of the bureau and nightstands and under and around everything. I called down to the front desk. The receptionist said, "It will be in a drawer if it's not in the bathroom." I looked again - 15 minutes of looking and calling. At the second call, Emily? who was very courteous, immediately brought one up in a black velveteen bag.
I found the dryer the next day - 7 feet up, on top of the coat shelf, on top of a large folded blanket.
We'll probably stay there again, but on the quieter 3rd floor, end of hall."
"Great central location to downtown. Although they didn’t have a great sitting area to enjoy your coffee in the morning, we would definitely come back here again just because of the convenience and the fact that they don’t charge $700 a night."
"This is our second year staying here and it was better this time than last time. Everyone is kind, it's close to what you need, we can ride our bike to the ferry and we watch fireworks from our balcony.
No complaints."
"The view was fabulous. The hotel has a shuttle pick-up for the Shepler's Ferry and that saved us parking costs. The breakfast was between good and great but we still enjoyed having it available each morning."
"Everything was good; it’s just the extreme amount of mosquitoes in and around our rooms were a turn off. Had severe rashes on my toddlers body and face and our arms, the property needs to do something about the mosquitoes infestation."
