Nice room with a view, comfortable bed and helpful staff. The pub is lively in the evenings and staff are a mine of usefel local information. The waterfall a few minutes away is lovely.

My main problem was with the electricity. The PowerPoint for my electric razor didn't work, so I was given an alternative three to two adapter, but this didn't work either. I bought myself a new electric razor, but I couldn't charge this up properly. So all the time I was at the property. I was badly shaved.
Loved the village - which is NOT in Leyburn! Staff were welcoming and hospitable.
My room was up a somewhat awkward set of stairs and the wi-fi did not connect. Next door neighbour's TV sound a bit noisy. Parking on the road - and not always easy to find!
The Fox and Hounds is in an excellent location for travelling around the dales staff are friendly a good breakfast to start the day plenty of choice for evening meals accommodation is clean and tidy
The pub is exactly what you would expect in an ultra rural location. The food was fine and not bad value.
My room was very cold as the central heating was not on and the electric heater provided shorted when I turned it on.
The staff were very pleasant and I know they were short staffed so you can’t be critical.
All in all it was ok.

It was just ok no option offered for breakfast and had to be between 9 and 9.30 staff not very accommodating
Room was very spacious, well equipped and clean, very luxurious considering the price. The breakfast was excellent and the locals in the bar were friendly...add the fact that there is a waterfall 3 mins walk away to relax in the peace and quiet.
Very comfortable food excellent and owners and staff very good. Lots of walks and doggie friendly. Busy Inn and locals seem to enjoy it too. Thank you see you in a few months.
Nice little pub, pet friendly, quiet surroundings and ideal for those who like to walk in the hills ect.
Only downfall breakfast not served till 0900 and in the summer you need it early so you can get out and about

Nice stay
Country pub and grub. Bedrooms need better lighting so can read in bed. Showers - electrically heated therefore not much pressure. Good stay, near waterfall, only place on village to eat thats open everyday
The host was very welcoming.
The room was top notch, with all the facilities! There was even a hair dryer!
Break fast was very good!
We would certainly recommend others to check it out
Last minute booking. Andrew and Patricia were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great email contact on the day and very accommodating when I arrived outside the mealtime hours providing me with a fresh to order pizza from the pizza oven. Room was spacious and very clean. I appreciated the hot shower and easy to access Wi-Fi after a long journey from Scotland. Bed was very comfy. Delicious English breakfast provided in the morning and very easy to settle the bill afterwards. Absolutely would stay again.
We really liked the lovely location and character charm of the property. The food and service were excellent, great price and quality. The only downfall, and it’s a first world problem was the lack of good WIFI in and around the property, but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Well done
Good location. The pub is actually in the village of West Burton approximately 7 miles to the west of Leyburn. Ideally situated for walkers. Spacious room and ensuite; comfortable and homely.
