The pool was clean and welcoming. It was nice to have gardens around the pool. And the breakfast was enjoyable and satisfying.

The hotel is kept clean and the staff was very nice, including at the restaurant. The rooms are clean and the AC is good. The only thing I didn't like was the location, as it is near some busy highways and is a little hectic outside, including being surrounded by American fast food chains. The taxi to the airport also with credit card was $30, maybe better to stay at a place with free airport shuttle. Just spent the night her to catch my flight the next day. The breakfast was good though, as was the food at the restaurant.

Very good option for travelers used to Costa Rican standards, maybe not so for others used to Hilton-style hotels. Noisy surroundings (traffic), but the rooms are facing toward a quiet family-friendly inner court with pools. The day I was there, the hotel and surroundings (plaza, restaurants,...) were mostly populated by locals (few tourists).

Hotel Boyeros has a rustic atmosphere and the staff are universally pleasant. The rooms a little dated but get an A for cleanliness. Another plus is that the rooms and linens don't smell of perfume or disinfectant like many more expensive hotels. I stay here a couple times a year and won't stay anywhere else.

The rooms are very tired and need an update. The pool and surrounding area is nice. Its a good place to stay if you are travelling to and from the airport. Not a place for a long extended stay.

I stayed one night and it was everything I expected. The staff was easy to contact before and during my stay. They were flexible and let us have a late checkout without issues. Breakfast was good and your typical Costa Rican breakfast. The A/C worked great and was a good escape from the heat. It was easy walking distance to food places. I would definitely stay again.

This hotel is a super convenient location to the airport. It’s a good pace to start your Costa Rica trip or overnight before leaving. Walking distance to supermarket and restaurants. The place is a little “tired”, however clean and comfortable. The pool area is great nestled in beautiful gardens. The restaurant has decent food and the breakfast is a nice bonus. It’s too bad that the restaurant area is right next to busy highways, so extremely noisy with loud traffic noise. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I’d recommend staying for a quick night or two.

Loved this option for a 1 night stay near the airport. We got in late, there are fast food options near the hotel but the on site restaurant was still open and we were able to get a great dinner after a long day of travel. Easy check in and parking. Nice to have a room option with enough beds for our family of 5. Room was basic but clean and sufficient. Free breakfast in the morning was nice and a huge beautiful clean pool area was fun for kids before we set off.

The Good: The common and pool areas are wonderful. There is a main pool, hot tub and kiddie/shallow pool. There is a very good onsite restaurant/bar. There are also several chain fast food and local restaurants outside of the hotel. This is a basic, nothing fancy hotel. You will have a clean room with a shower and comfy bed. We were there with a large group and some of the AC units worked better than others. Ours was nice and cool at night. The downside: You only get one room key (we asked multiple times for 2 and could not get them) so you will need to coordinate if there are two people in the room. You are in the city (but inside the hotel walls it is beautiful). If you need to be near the airport or traveling to areas near Liberia this hotel is a good place for the cost.

The pool is great! Lots of available chairs and trees for shade. The rooms were very clean. Small upgrades to the door frames would be good. There is a gap in both the balcony and entry door. Just makes it more work for the AC to keep up at night. Very minor! The staff were great. The only problem we had was we checked out at 430 am left the keys and remotes in the room as the front desk was closed. We didn’t know we were supposed to give it to the security guard! They had a cab waiting to take us to the airport promptly as well. Great place to stay for the last two days of our long holiday!

What a great experience. We needed to stay nearby the Liberia airport for one night. The Hotel Boyeros provided for a safe, clean, & friendly experience with a wonderful pool, jacuzzi tub, and included breakfast. We could not have asked for a better experience.

The courtyard was really nice. The staff at the reception are really nice but the breakfast was almost completely out of food and coffee by 8:30 am which no one warned us about. The breakfast staff gave a bit of attitude when we asked for coffee and warm food. The room was clean and not very homey but the bathroom could have been cleaner.

The grounds were lovely, staff friendly and clean rooms. The breakfast was decent. The rooms require a drastic faced, the bathrooms get no stars. The exterior of the hotel looks like a prison. I would not stay there again.

The pool was amazing and they have the best tasting typical breakfast I've tasted in Costa Rica. It was in fact atypical as there were many added flavors in the rice and beans. We got to see animals from our porch. We thought it would just be a cheap place to stay after arriving on a late flight, but its a destination in itself!

Hotel Boyeros is a great option for those looking for an overnight stop in Liberia. Beautiful pool and walkable to many delicious restaurant across the street. Room was clean and spacious. The hotel itself is located in a busy urban area close to the highway so street noise is a bit of an issue if you are a light sleeper. We enjoyed our stay here and would book again as it was good value.

I remembered this hotel fondly from when I was a child. Unfortunately the property now sits in the middle of some very busy, congested roads. Pros: Staff was nice. Breakfast is included and pretty good. Low cost. It's not far from the airport. One to two hours away from beautiful beaches. AC worked great. Swimming pool and garden are well-kept. Cons: The rooms definitely need some upkeep. We were in 3 different rooms during two separate stays, and in 2 of the rooms the safe didn't work. In 1 of them the toilet leaked, so the floor in the bathroom was always wet.

We picked this place to overnight before our flight out. Very convenient to Hwy 1 and 21, easy drive to the rental locations and airport, staff were very friendly and all the checkin counter staff spoke english. Breakfast buffet included on Sunday morning anyway. We’ll stay here again.
