Communication with Skykes Cottages was very process heavy tho - we received so many useless emails before the booking, then during the trip there was so many different people to talk to for every problem. Before arrival, I had to chase the host for check-in instructions as nothing had been sent. Even after calling, I was only given the key safe code. "We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in an ideal position next to the old town. All of the staff were friendly, professional and made us feel very welcome. The building is lovely, old and quirky. We stayed in one of the luxury rooms with a standalone bath in the main bedroom (as well as a separate shower room). Nice room, although we felt that the bath was unnecessary as it took up far too much room, making it a little cramped. It also meant that the TV had to be situated at a tight right angle to the bed and seating area. Refreshments in the room were replenished daily and the room was cleaned to a high standard. Parking was plentiful on sight, but I did think it was a bit steep to pay £15 per night via Ringo. This meant a further £45 cost to our 3 night stay. I guess that is sadly becoming the norm with city breaks. We would however stay again due to the friendliness of staff and location to the town."

"Room was lovely very spacious and cleaned daily with amenities stocked up. Water temperature and pressure was lovely. Hotel location was ideal with 24 hour reception staff. Hotel was secure and had no problems with noise at all. Only downside was breakfast - continental breakfast was not up to par and not enough options for those who cannot eat full English e.g. bacon,sausages,eggs"

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Honey Pod. Communication and instructions before arrival were wonderful and made everything so easy. The space itself is compact but has everything you need — a cozy kitchen/lounge area, comfortable bedroom, and clean bathroom. The wood burner hot tub in the garden was such a treat, perfect for relaxing under the stars. It’s beautifully secluded and feels like you’re tucked away in the middle of nowhere — peaceful, quiet, and magical. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and escape! "
