Livingstone has been having daily announced power cuts as we found out after we arrived. Le Patino staff knows it and even tells the guests no power. The power was off when we arrived and off several times during our stay. Here's the problem. This establish,net has a generator. However several guests had to fight to get the staff to turn on the generator. From what we were told, the generator also controlled the pump which provides water. Since the staff worked very hard to use the generator only sparingly, we didn't have water to to shower or flush the toilet. It was very hot and of course the air con also shutoff without the generator. After 3 days, I came to the conclusion that the problem may not be with the staff, but rather with the ownership. I beleive that they have instructed the staff to contain costs at all cost. I rarely write reviews but felt the need to do so in this case because I want other travelers to beware of the situation. If certain basic amenities are advertised and there is a solution, the ownership should make it happen. The way they are operating now where guests are complaining, at least three that I heard, this is not a serious business. If ownership is trying to contain costs, it's better they raise prices but at least provide what they are supposed to.
