Cheerful and quiet
Cheerful and quiet little hideaway from the main hotels and tourist traps. 50 kwacha to do your laundry for you (£2.50 approx). Make sure the air conditioning remote has batteries in it we had to buy our own and get a refund for them.

Didnt like the set up of the executive room in areas such as the bathroom where the toilet pan is so close to the shower cabinet knees literally reach the shower cabinet, the roof was leaking from the rains creating a terible dump smell. The air conditioning uint wrongly located i had to change the orientation of the bed.

this is the best place is stay in Livingstone. The staff here are so friendly and they treat you like a member of their family. The place is so clean and quiet. Food is so nice. Kudos to Nkumba, Jackline, Esta, Sarah, Getrude, Ernest and every one here. You are the best!!

The lepatino in Livingstone
We went for a wedding of our cousin in Livingstone . The hitel is very clean. Improvements are required in terms of protecting customers from mosquitoes. The windows should be fitted with insect nets. The swimming pool requires painting. The bath towels require replacements. There is need to git a full body mirror. Other wise the rooms are very well kept. The workers are extremely friendly. Breakfast needs improvement

Very friendly staff! Nice location and you could walk to shops/restaurants. Delicious hot breakfast, which was included. Shower pressure was a little weak and the bathroom was not the cleanest. Good wi-fi with a fan and a/c in the room. Would recommend for a basic stay in Livingstone.

Rooms clean, bright, spacious. Staff friendly & attentive. Breakfast was quite fresh & delicious. Great location for being close to nearby restaurants. Pool was undergoing maintenance. Lovely, intimate stay overall.

The LePatino B&B was a big surprise. It was clean, the service was good and it was really very price worthy. It is well located and close to the markets and restaurants. Our only complaint was the breakfast which needs some attention.

Nice resting place in Livingtone
This bed & breakfast exceeded my expectations. It is spacious, modern and very clean. Reception is extremely helpful in making sure your stay in Livingstone is a pleasant and memorable one.

The day before I arrived at the hotel, my bag was stolen with my important medicine every day. Is the manager of the hotel who personally accompany us to the hospital to find my medicine so that I can continue my next 25 days of travel. Thanks again to the hotel manager.

Spent 1 night in LePatino. Great service and good breakfast. Just a few blocks off the main road. Nice and quiet with a devent pool and a nice breal fast in the morning.

Budget hotel at a great value
This hotel was very basic, but the best value for money on the Livingstone side of Victoria Falls. After staying in several backpackers, this hotel was a welcome relief with hot showers and comfy beds! There was even free WiFi and a very tasty free breakfast. My room had a mini fridge and supplies to make some tea/coffee. Reception was great for organizing taxi transfers for the airport or to go to dinner. No real downsides, just don't expect too much.

The best in Livingstone
When's arrived I was greated with a smile from Carol and began check in process right away. Moments later I was greater with an ice cold drink, from Peter, (who also makes delicious free egg breakfast in the morning!), which was perfect cuz I had walked from the bus station with my bag in the ridiculously hot African afternoon sun. Don't make my mistake. Although it is a short distance, take a taxi. Carol made sure to ask me how things were with my room and stay any time she say me in the hotel. Along with the other fabulous staff. Wifi worked well. Free continental breakfast was delicious. Room was spacious and clean. Had good mosquito nets. Flat screen tv with lots of channels. A pool that was clean and inviting. The only thing that I could have maybe kind of complained about, was the shower water pressure was a bit low. But it worked fine so I didn't. Every evening I got back a bit late, and was happily greeted by the night staff. I only had planned to stay two nights, but enjoyed the city and hotel so much I stayed for four!

After some misunderstanding on the day of my arrival,my stay has been really pleasant!The stuff is really helpful (and I have to admit here that I may overreacted a bit and I'm apologizing for this here and in person) and the hotel is at a really convenient location at the heart of livingstone.I am visiting them again before the end of April!

Enjoyed my stay at Lepatino
I spent four nights at Lepatino and enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the guesthouse is in a quiet location within walking distance of the Livingstone Museum, some shops, restaurants and banks. The only downside during my stay was the wifi didn't work all the time. Otherwise, this is a pretty good place to stay in Livingstone.

Dear James, thanks for the review. Yes indeed wifi has been our biggest challenge. However we now have two Internet Service Providers and current internet access via wifi is guaranteed.

Cost effective and convenient
Carole and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My luggage was delayed and she went to pick it up, along with offering advice on where I could quickly get some needed items. The place is centrally located in the town, so you can find places nearby to eat or shop. I would recommend this place for people who want to spend their money on the activities and travel rather than a 5* hotel.

Good value and walking distance to the city centre
Good value for money. When we visited Livingstone, Zambia had 8 hours of power cuts a day. The power cuts are well managed with scheduled program of when the power will be cut off. The Hotel has a generator; thought it is not always switched on. You have to tell the receptionist to turn it on for the water pump to pump water to the rooms or if you want to watch TV or use Wi-Fi when power is cut. The hotel is walking distance to the city centre. Ensure you select a room with a fully functioning air conditioner as it gets very hot in the rooms. The executive rooms in the mezzanine floors have low ceiling heights of approximately 2.3m high which makes it essential to have a fully functioning air-conditioner. Basic Breakfast is provided but service ends at 8.30am. Maybe a later ending especially for weekends would be great. Overall good value for money in the Livingstone / Vic Falls area. Fly screen would be great for the windows to keep out mosquitos and flies. I would certainly return to La Patino for a repeat visit.

Hot in Livingstone
Livingstone has been having daily announced power cuts as we found out after we arrived. Le Patino staff knows it and even tells the guests no power. The power was off when we arrived and off several times during our stay. Here's the problem. This establish,net has a generator. However several guests had to fight to get the staff to turn on the generator. From what we were told, the generator also controlled the pump which provides water. Since the staff worked very hard to use the generator only sparingly, we didn't have water to to shower or flush the toilet. It was very hot and of course the air con also shutoff without the generator. After 3 days, I came to the conclusion that the problem may not be with the staff, but rather with the ownership. I beleive that they have instructed the staff to contain costs at all cost. I rarely write reviews but felt the need to do so in this case because I want other travelers to beware of the situation. If certain basic amenities are advertised and there is a solution, the ownership should make it happen. The way they are operating now where guests are complaining, at least three that I heard, this is not a serious business. If ownership is trying to contain costs, it's better they raise prices but at least provide what they are supposed to.

Staff works very hard to make the guests happy.
Greeted with a much needed bottle of water and then provided another one. Needed a power converter and they had a good one to loan me. They got up early to fix my breakfast before an early bus ride.

No running water
I can be happy with a clean room and a shower. This time i was disappointed. The bathroom did not have running water since my arrival time at about 10:00 a.m. until about 8:00 p.m. this included the toilet tank. That prevented me from taking a shower during the day. Wasn't sure if there was hot water, i had to take a 3 minutes shower with cold water, afraid that i would run out of water again. I'd tried to take a shower earlier during the day, but the water suddenly stopped running after a few seconds, so I did not want to risk it again. The t.v. was placed on the side of the bed instead of the front, which made it very difficult to watch. The water from the loose sink faucet spilled over the floor because it had not been correctly installed. The base of the sink was also loose.

Thank you for the review. We are sad to learn about your experience at our lodge. It appears that you arrived on the day when our water pump was being fixed. Indeed there was an interruption to the supply of water to the rooms. We however made sure that all our guests were not inconvenienced and so it is very much regrettable that you did not experience our best service. We have water storage tanks and pump and therefore we do not rely on the local supply. We have tried to locate all the facilities and utilities in the rooms in the best place possible. Your advice on the location of the TV is therefore very much welcome.
