Savoy Country Inn

Savoy Country Inn

8/10 Good
"This country inn is great stop off for south wales with great food and the rooms, although a bit tired in places - couple of carpet stains and pulls and a teeny tiny bathroom with a wobbly cold tap - it was clean and the bed and bedding very comfortable. Breakfast was from 9:30 so not convenient if youโ€™re stopping off on business and need an early start! Staff all very friendly and helpful. My room was above the outdoor garden benches so a bit noisy until closing time but itโ€™s a pub so to be expected."

"Reception staff were excellent. TV in room didnโ€™t work. Pool area was very clean. The restaurant for breakfast was very good but service in the evening wasnโ€™t very good, no cutlery, no salt on the table, getting staff attention was hard work but appreciate there was training of new staff."

Mercure Swansea Hotel

Mercure Swansea Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Staff at this hotel are friendly, helpful and create a truely homely feel. The little welcome gift is lovely and the rooms are clean and tidy and well equipped. Slightly dated bathrooms with fixed show heads and no walk in showers but they are clean and have all that is required. Bar and restaurant is very good with great staff and food is good quality. Limited to do nearby but a large car park and quiet. Could do with a swimming pool and leisure facilities to cope with local competition. Staff make this stay and allow you to forgive the modernisation of rooms"
