The property is currently under renovation so facilities were limited. Pictures on Expedia did not reflect true situation. If you dont mind staying on a working site then ok. No dining facilities whilst we were there.

Great location for a base, good pub food. Everyone was helpful. The only drawback was no hot water for 2 days out of 3, so we had to have cold showers, though the staff did try to resolve this.

Staff are very friendly, helpful and pleasant. This hotel is convenient for my work as I live 50 miles away from my studios and travelling can be difficult in bad weather. I will be using every time I stay in Llanelli. Cannot fault.

A charming building from the outside, but in an unprepossessing position at a road junction. However, we were warmly welcomed, and checkin was fast and efficient. Our family room was of a very good size; clean and well provisioned. We ALL had a really good, comfortable nights sleep. A real gem of a place…and the staff were super friendly..

TV didn’t work, poor state of decor, our room was above the bar and the jukebox was left on all night, after lake of use the juke box plays the odd song, so we had quite a few times being woken up! Room was clean as was hotel just a bit untidy in areas, and in need of some touch in decor. Food and drink in restaurant was lovely and great value

When I arrived, there was no heating on in the room and it was quite chilly. I had a word with reception and it was soon resolved. Someone came to the rescue! Comfortable, quiet and pleasant all night. Very friendly and helpful at the Thomas Arms. I will be returning when on my regular visits to Llanelli. Thanks.

although improvements were going on - things like pallets and rubbish in reception and surrounding areas were not good. The room - hot water tap was loose so you had to hold to turn water on and off - sink plug didn't fit - shower hose black and rusty also sealant around bath black. Toiletries only for one person. Accept improvements were being made to a very tired building to pay £130 was very high - £90 would be a fare price. Infact I think Marstons should close it while the work is done. Should have gone to Travelodge

Average at best - sadly in Llanelli!

The Thomas Arms is worn and in time for a good freshening up. The restaurant was fine, but the area around the hotel, and all of downtown Llanelli is not pretty, full of vagrants. We decided not to go out at night, walking around, we didn't feel safe. That's not the hotels fault, but unless you are happy locked into a mediocre pub/hotel, go some where else.

I picked this hotel from the feedback on Hotels.com where is was rated 8/10. I have no idea how it has been rated slow highly, Brains really need to take a look at this site and put some money into decorating it at least. The staff where doing their best losing to be honest. Wouldn't recommend this hotel, over priced and very noisy outside next to busy roads. Owners take note.

Overall the room was clean and tidy, although very warm. Friendly staff but limited, the evening was adequate, but no one on hand for breakfast 😕. We were told 8am, waited until 8.25 and no one opened up. We left as we had a funeral in the morning so picked up a sauage roll. The outside area for a cigerette was very untidy, no ashtrays, cigerette buts everywhere 😒
