"All good; stayed before and will stay again. Breakfasts cooked to order are excellent, but they ran out of decaf tea this time, and only bananas at breakfast on the first day of our three day stay, and choice of breakfast cereals could be healthier (no muesli and only non-sugary option was wheatabix)."

"Had a wonderful stay at Thornbury Castle. The venue itself was extraordinary; a real a Tudor Castle once owned by Henry VIII. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The grounds were well kept and clean and the rooms had such great detail; sticking to the Tudor theme. We stayed in the Catherine of Aragon sweet and it was amazing. The food was delicious with a great deal of care gone into preparation, presentation and serving too. Couldnโt fault our stay! Would 100% return."

"What a great place to stay. The staff went over and above to accommodate our early check-in. Nothing is too much trouble. Great location and amazing views from the room. We stayed here for a family wedding in the area, and would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely spacious room, brilliant location in the heart of the Forest of Dean (we saw wild boar in broad daylight, just outside the hotel). Excellent meal in the the dining room in the evening of our stay. Online check-in didn't seem to have worked, but this may not have been the hotel's fault."
