"Charming hotel in idyllic surroundings only slightly marred by lack of investment in upkeep. Rooms are spacious but tired in need of updating and maintenance. Hotel spa facility to include gym and Romanesque style pool, however are excellent. Staff was helpful, courteous, professional and polite during our stay. Many thanks to all."

"This was a quick over night stay on route. I stayed here over 20 years ago and must say the bedrooms are now looking a bit dated. It was a heat wave and there is no air con and no fans were in the room or available from reception. Fast food from the bar was okay but hotel prices for food and drink. If not playing golf you can get better."

"Situated on the ground floor during a heatwave wasn’t great. We were left wondering if all the rooms in the hotel were full and perhaps they could have located us in a room with a window that opened. The young man who served us for the evening meal was very attentive and very polite which was nice to see. Not so the staff at breakfast."
