Only the breakfast entry arrangements is/was a concern for us. We had three rooms and people don't wake-up at the same time. This became a challenge for us, every time we have to access the restaurant.

A Little Disappointed
I have to say I was a little taken aback by the condition of the hotel in general. The rooms and corridors are in serious need of a revamp. There is a need for room service and menus...especially after a long drive from across the borders. The staff made up for my disappointment. Were prompt and helpful and friendly.

not a fantastic experience. I was initially given the key to an already occupied room which didn’t fill me with confidence about the security of my belongings in my room. This was rectified and we were given another room. However when we got into the room, we found the bathroom in a disgusting condition. It had clearly not been cleaned. My mums room was initially fine but on our last night she had a water leak. When you looked closer at the ceiling it was clear this wasn’t a new problem as there were old water stains. The whole hotel was generally quite tatty with worn carpets and mouldy bathrooms. The food in the restaurant was very good on the first night but as our stay went on it was clear that the buffet was almost identical each evening. The only thing that changed was the soup and 1 of the main dishes. There are only so many times I want to eat chicken/beef stew/curry/roast. Overall, although the staff were friendly and very apologetic, this was quite a disappointing hotel.

Staff are super friendly and the location is nice. But this hotel is WAY past it’s prime. Should have been renovated 15 years ago. Everything is old, outdated, barely functioning. The owners are milking this for profits. The WIFI is weak, cumbersome and extremely expensive. I spent 2.5 hours in one week trying to access WIFI, buy more data, etc. Instead I am now in SA in a hotel and we have 5 GB per day free. No password, just two clicks. At the Lugogo you get 300 MB (which is a joke) and spend hours fixing access. We will not go back until after a serious renovation.

I liked the greenery outside, cleanliness of the rooms. The environment around not to mention the wstet in the pool. The food was delish. I think you need to bring the iron in the rooms when requested other than going to the ironing room. Some times we need to qeunch thirst while in your rooms si i think bar frigdes will do. Thanks for the service rendered it was lit.

LUGOGO TOPS
Overall experience was AWESOME. Although the hotel is not new and needs a little bit of TLC all is forgotten when you get served by the extremely friendly and helpful staff. The food in the restaurant is excellent and VERY tasty. We loved every minute of our stay.

We requested non smoking but they put us in a smoking room at first, until we complained. The food was overpriced and overcooked. The rooms were nice and clean but very old, could have done with upgrading. They gave limited WiFi only 150MB free per day. They didn't allow food and drink from outside. The pool was nice.

First visit was 30 years ago
At dinner another elderley gentlemen had a heart attack in the dining room. I called for a doctor and helped this person. By the time we got him up and off to his room, still no doctor (or management) had arrived to assist???

Lively and comfortable hotel
Lovely lively hotel with nice swimming pool. We aren't into gambling but it was interesting to visit the casino. The front desk were very helpful and referred us to the sister hotel in the shuttle bus to book a trip to Hlane Royal reserve which was a fantastic day out seeing elephants, lions, hippo, rhino and many more animals. Excellent value for money with a lovely guide through the company recommended.

For some reason people could not phone into my room from the UK (Scotland and Sussex) after the second day. As I had very important business to do I had to phone out for long periods of time over 4 days. This rang up a very high phone bill. Complaints to the hotel manager resulted in a reduced bill and a promise to investigate how that could have happened as apparently other calls were being received from the UK to the hotel during this time.

Basic hotel with great kid play area
Very safe area close to a lot of daily excursion activities. The rooms were a little run down but the facilities were nice. Food and dinner buffet very good. The kids LOVED the kids zone and it truly was a great addition. The pool was still too cold to use but we could imagine how nice the pool area would be during the hot months. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends but will also encourage them to look elsewhere as there seemed to be more hotels than what Expedia had to offer.

NEEDS A SEROIUS UPGRADE
I LAST VISITED THIS HOTEL 7 YEARS AGO. EVERYTHING IS JUST THE SAME EXPECT THAT THE HOTEL ROOMS ARE WORN OUT AND EVEN NEED PAINTING TO HIDE THE MILDEW.BATHROOM IS WORN OUT AND EVEN THE TOILET HAD A CHIP MARK ON IT. ALSO A LOT OF MOSQUITOES IN THE ROOM. BREAKFAST WAS PERFECT AND THE FOOD AND QUALITY WERE GREAT.I WONT BE BACK ANYTIME SOON
