"One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Our room had two separate bathrooms with walk-in showers and a separate living area including a turntable, Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" on vinyl, and a hot of arty, coffee table books. What more can you ask for? "
"This property is across the street from the Guggenheim museum. The hotel has several restaurants that are very good. The breakfast is quite pricey at 35 euros per person.Staff were excellent. My one complaint was the shower which was awkward and sprayed water everywhere."
"This is a very nice hotel in a great location in the old town. Perfect for experiencing Laurel Street and the surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our stay. "
"I felt quite welcome by Sandra at check in and very safe during my stay. Breakfast buffet and coffee service was very good. Walkable to all of the sites but the tram from Ribera Market was a good alternative to the Guggenheim in the rain. The room with a view of the Nervion River was worth the rate. I will look for other Axel Hotels in cities I visit in the future. Highly recommended! "
"Hotel was located just at the edge of the main shopping and dining areas of central Bilbao. Everything seemed to be within walking distance and very convenient. Our suite was clean and large, had a separate bedroom with king bed and living area with pull-out sofa bed. It was perfect for our visit since we were dropping off our son to university and he needed to stay with us for a few days before checking into his dormitory. Breakfast was also included and consisted of pastries, breads, eggs, potatoes, ham, bacon, cheeses, fresh-cut fruit, cereals, yogurt coffees, teas and juices. We would definitely stay here again, or at another one of the Ilunion branded hotels."
"Very nice hotel. About 15-20 walk from the main shopping street. Excellent breakfast buffet. Bed and pillows very comfortable.
Don’t go for the pool though. Too cold to stay in for more than a few mins, Which was a shame as it’s one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Otherwise all good. "
