"The place is lovely, and the cottage was very charming, but I felt like the place needed a better clean, especially considering the price. The drying rack in the kitchen had a grime build-up, and the shower floor was quite grubby. I also noticed some hair on the floor under one of the beds, and the vase was hiding an ant family that came out during the night. "Fabulous location. Excellent staff. Great welcome. Well appointed and v spacious room that was clean in all the important places. A little grubby in places cleaned less frequently. Very good shared spaces. Restaurant 8.5/10. Some courses excellent but a chewy bit of tuna not good and it’s very noisy when busy. Would stay again. "
"Allen and the other staff were great! It is a 1880 Mansion with 8 guest rooms and impeccably restored/maintained filled with antiques, just very relaxing. I would highly recommend for its charm, location and staff. Satori Restaurant 5-10min walk down street is Amazing food and service (ask for Shantell). Highly recommend!"

"We had double room with stunning view of Hout bay. Large room and quality bath room. With our room came garaged parking. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Downside: the area close to property feels quite unsafe and I wouldn't walk with my wife and daughter there. Access to a car a necessity in my opinion.

"We loved our stay at African Violets & in Noordhoek. Our Courtyard Cottage was spacious, in excellent condition & had great views to Chapman's Peak & the coastline. The pool area was fabulous with the same great views and plenty of sunbeds & covered comfy seating. Our hot tub was an added luxury which we used most evenings. Finally, Noordhoek was a good location with access to several fabulous beaches, cafes, restaurants & towns. We'd definitely stay again."
