2/10 Terrible

"This was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve ever had. First and foremost it STUNK. The employees live there on site I guess and the entire bottom floor where it seems they live it is awful smelling. That gross food they cook stinks up a whole building. Also, the SAME guy was at the desk when we checked out and he was trying everything to keep my $100 cash deposit. He did finally give it back and now we’re off the a nice hotel. If you want a good experience somewhere you’ll not find it at Super 8. But if you’re hungry I’m sure there’s plenty of Indian food left. Ugh. Just horrible……"

"If you don't mind the renovations going on, this a great value for the money. It was just 5 miles to downtown and closer to Lookout Mountain and Ruby falls. Very quiet and some restaurants close by. Right next to a Walmart as well."

"Just stayed one night passing through. I hate couldn’t stay more!! The Room 8 was wonderful. On the end at the pool, great parking, wonderful view. So cute inside. Rose did a wonderful job cleaning the room. And Holly had a beautiful breakfast laid out in the morning!! Love, love!!!"

"The breakfast was ok. The room? Well…. Don’t bother…. Stay somewhere else! Mold on shower walls and tub. Yuk! Toilet did not flush every time. Bathroom sink out of order. Totally clogged. Had to shave, brush teeth, etc., and wash hands using bathtub faucet. Very back breaking. Water on floor at foot of bed when checking in. Office gave me 2 towels to clean up mess. They did not even offer to clean up. Next time I will stay elsewhere. Once is enough."

"My stay at The Read House was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel beautifully blends historic charm with modern comfort, and the staff made every part of the experience welcoming and enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, the public spaces were stunning, and the location made it easy to explore downtown Chattanooga. One of the highlights was taking the haunted room tour. Even if you’re not a believer in ghost stories, the history behind the hotel is fascinating and adds a unique dimension to the experience. It was both entertaining and memorable. I highly recommend The Read House to anyone visiting Chattanooga. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, great hospitality, or a little mystery, this hotel delivers a truly special stay."

"Hello, On the surface this looks like a decent place, however, aside from the breakfast being decent. The rooms are dirty, they all stink like cigarettes, the pool is filthy, and they have no password on the wifi at all. Repeat, not even a log in. So, the open network just sits there and is accessible by anyone. Anywhere. The facility is also loud at times. I also think I got bit by something because my legs felt all tingly and a numb spot on my thigh? Anyway, another example of multiple staff living on premises and the ownership acting like they are slum lords. No reasoning, no logic. And apparently a blatant disregard for our safety as travelers, customers, and the people that make sure they even have a business to begin with."
