"Staff was kind & considerate, while the property was of impressive cleanliness. However, the reason why I am giving it a terrible rating is not because of the hotel, but with Expedia. This platform invalidated the reservation I made, yet had no issue charging my card upon booking the reservation. When I arrived to the hotel upon check in, the staff shared with me that the payment had failed, so Expedia had cancelled the reservation. I was frustrated because I have proof of receipt (my card being charged when I initially booked the reservation), yet they said they did not have it on file, so I had to book a new reservation for that day. Not only was it inconvenient because the cost of stay increased, but also as a frequent customer that enjoys Expedia & often refers the platform to my network, this was especially frustrating to experience. Additionally, I attempted to call customer service (multiple times), and not only was it extremely unhelpful, but the staff I had conversations with were unable to provide any quality assistance & simply gave baseline, generic responses. This has made me reconsider future bookings through a third party platform such as Expedia. While I came across the hotel through the platform, I will now reconsider booking through Expedia & simply book trips through the individual site. "
