"Lovely welcome on arrival. Rooms were dark inside which was fine for us but could imagine it might be a problem for some. Vanity mirror with lights attached didnt work, and when reported (more to report that we didnt break it, rather than get it fixed) reception was uninterested. Brilliant shower - possibly the best ive used in a hotel. No coffee machine as described but there was a kettle. "The staffs were amazingly friendly. The room was clean and well supplied. We asked for extra pillows and towels with no issues. Within 10 minutes walk from the York train station.
