The J.J. Allison house is on display next to the Buddy Holly Center. This was the home of Buddy Holly's childhood friend, they played guitar and wrote songs including his famous hit "That'll Be the Day".
The McCartney oak was donated by Paul McCartney at the park as dedication to the people of Lubbock and Buddy Holly's influence to the musical style of The Beatles.
