4. Vele Storiche Pisane

Pisa City Centre

"I really enjoyed Velle Storiche Pisa - fairly simple room, but spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fantastic location in a nice residential district, very close to a railway station and the Campo dei Miracoli. After-hours check in process sounded a little complicated but worked perfectly. The included breakfast was good by Italian standards. Only drawback was that the air conditioning was limited to 18 degrees, which is too hot. Best thing was the enthusiastic and welcoming staff."

Top Lucca Hotel Reviews

Albergo Celide

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent location. Just outside the wall with an easy walk into the center of Lucca. Rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast was a nice addition. Very friendly staff."

Palazzo Alexander Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Great staff, room, and breakfast. Having USB plug in's on each side of the bed was a big plus. The shower was also really nice. We had the balcony room which had a table and comfortable lounge type chairs. There is a parking garage about 200 meters, or 2 or 3 blocks away. Set your GPS to the hotel, drop your bags and then drop your car off. We had the Tosca room on the 4th floor-the only one with a balcony. The elevator only goes to the 3rd floor and you walk the next flight of stairs up. Not a big deal for us, but if you have mobility problems it could be an issue. Pay the hotel when you checkout for the parking. The owners father fetched our car for us, and we loaded our bags and were off. Super friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay great. Would definitely book again."

Hotel Rex

10/10 Excellent

"I love this hotel so much it was my second visit. I describe it as wholesome. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is superb for train station (2mins), city wallls (5 mins) and parkrun start line (5 min walk) Lucca is special and well worth a visit. I will certainly be back next next to stay and this lovely little hotel but please don’t forget the 3 mins plug adapter for Italy and not a standard EU plug."

Albergo Villa Marta

10/10 Excellent

"We loved our stay at Villa Marta. Right from the start the staff was very helpful with Jessica assisting our late check in. The staff at breakfast was lovely, especially Roberto, and the breakfast buffet excellent. The location is great for getting into Lucca and Pisa as well as our day in Cinque Terre. We enjoyed the green space and our time by the pool. Would definitely come back."
