The Crowne Plaza is a solid, reliable American-style hotel—clean, comfortable, and exactly what you’d expect from an international brand. But honestly, the Dann Carlton stood out more. It felt more upscale, with better overall atmosphere, service, and a true luxury feel. If you’re looking for a more memorable stay in Barranquilla, I’d definitely recommend the Dann Carlton. Both were good, but the Dann Carlton was the better experience for me."

"We enjoyed our stay at Portobello. The room and common areas were beautiful and well-kept. I would definitely stay there again. My only criticism was that the water was not working when I tried to use it in the early part of morning (around 2am), but was working fine other than that. "

"The room was great! The hotel has a lot of character and is really unique! The staff was always pleasant and helpful as well! The only issues we ran into was that there was construction going on the hotel that would always start early morning, then there were also some issues with the water and it was unavailable. Other than that, it was an amazing stay and we'd be happy to come back! Maybe next time we can leave a 5 star rating!!"
