"When i booked the property i was under the impression that the price on hotels.com was the price. We then had to pay extra for the dogs, extra for bedding and extra for electricity used. It would have been better if this was in the details of the booking before you confirm. When people are on a budget this could be hard for them. "What a lovely hotel and incredible staff! I arrived later than planned following a late booking and 8 hour drive. Thankfully, this was not an issue and the reception staff were friendly and helped me find a parking space before directing me to my room. No fuss, no problem. I then enquired about dinner, having dropped off my bags, and was looked after incredibly well by Brian and Anita. They acknowledged my coeliac disease and Brian went through the entire menu and explained what was safe to eat, and what I had to avoid. This put my mind at ease as not all places are coeliac-friendly, and the extra care and attention was very much appreciated. The same the following morning for breakfast, too. I was in a cottage room just to the side of the main hotel and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. No issues whatsoever. This really is a lovely hotel and all the staff I encountered were polite, smiling, and happy to help. Highly recommended. I will be staying here again when I find myself in the area."
