"One of my favorite things about Manava was the authentic Polynesian vibe. Beautiful place, wonderful staff. Loved being able to snorkel off our own deck - did a premium overwater bungalow for 2 days and private soaking pool bungalow for 1 day. It was fun to experience both types of rooms. The beautiful infinity pool was amazing. We just had a wonderful stay and would love to return again!"

"We've stayed at the Intercontinental here many times and it continues to make us smile. This time was wonderful - especially the quality of the buffet dinners. Always a welcoming place that is dependable to take care of you with always weird arrival and departure times."

"The hotel is in a good location to walk to the main promenade in Papeete, Although it’s not a pretty neighborhood. Quite a few shuttered businesses but felt completely safe to walk around day or night. The street noise is present if in one of the street facing rooms. It has a pool that is having a reno, but it’s nice and looks out towards the hillside. The workout room was sufficient and I appreciated it being included. We didn’t use the spa. The staff were efficient and helpful. They offer luggage storage which was great. Overall I would stay here again for a stopover. My biggest complaint is there is no outlet in the bathroom and no mirror in the bedroom where the outlets are. If you want to use any hair appliances, there is no way to see yourself. "

"Great breakfast— large buffet at about $30 per person Grounds lovely and well taken care of. Rooms large. Pool nice. Access to the beach not easy , seemed like a steep drop off. The water wasn’t inviting. Would recommend but not for beach."

"Clean room. Air conditioning in bedroom but good enough for the rest of rooms. Next to great beach. Bugs at night got in covered walls. Saw them when came back from dinner. We spent some time wiping down the walls to rid them. On bed too. Walking distance to a couple of restaurants. We did not have a car and we didn’t cook or use the kitchen. Not fancy but very adequate. Staff friendly."

"The resort was above and beyond our expectations. The breakfast buffet was outstanding - especially the fresh pastries and the omelette bar manned by Heinz. The snorkeling right off shore was fabulous. If we ever are able to return to Moorea, we will definitely stay at the Sofitel Kia Ora again!"
