Blue Bay Curacao Golf & Beach Resort

"The grounds & property was beautiful, but the overall room in the garden was not it. The living room didn’t have AC & it got extremely hot in there. There were only 1 TV in the living room, which was unfortunate cause it was to hot on many days to sit in there. They do have sliding doors & blinds on the doors that opens to allow a breeze but that also allows bugs & mosquitos in. We also had a daily visitor a lizard, it came in every morning around the same time. The room which was in the garden area got very loud due to the rode & the construction during early mornings wasn’t too pleasant. Don’t leave food on the kitchen counter it was a lot of tiny bugs that we say when we did leave our food out even on the stove. But overall good property felt safe at all times. I just wouldn’t stay here again, maybe a different area but not in the gardens."

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beach accommodation. The location is perfect — private and peaceful, yet still walkable and close to everything we needed. The atmosphere throughout the property was relaxing and welcoming, and the activities offered were a great fit for our age and lifestyle. Most of the staff were excellent, friendly, and attentive, although we did encounter a few who seemed a bit grumpy. Overall, it did not take away from our experience. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back."

"The resort was pretty nice at first glance, but the room really disappointed us. This resort is pretty new, yet the room told a different story. Right away, we ran into safety issues: the toilet seat was broken when we arrived, and my daughter ended up slipping because of it. The shower head was broken too, so water kept splashing up toward the ceiling. When I mentioned these problems, we weren’t moved to another room, and it took about seven hours before someone came to fix the toilet seat. That delay only added to the sense that the room wasn’t properly ready for guests. On top of the safety concerns, there were visible wear and stains on the walls and floor. It wasn’t the clean, fresh impression you’d expect from a newer resort, and that really took the gloss off the stay. Overall, the room experience left me feeling disappointed. The pool area was nice and offered a welcome escape from the room drama. For families with kids, Mangrove seems to have more to offer, so that’s something to consider for future trips. Food wasn’t great either and didn’t help the overall vibe of the stay. In the end, the trip had its moments—the pool, and the kid-friendly options at Mangrove—but the room issues and uneven service overshadowed the positives. If we were to return, I’d want a much better guarantee about prompt maintenance and room readiness, or we’d likely opt to stay at Mangrove for a more reliable experience overall."

"Very clean resort. Helpful, friendly staff especially Ari. Beautiful pools, beaches. Nice Waterpark. The mini fridge in rooms is too small and not stocked well. The idea of water bottles instead of plastic bottles is great in theory but we did not use them. The availability at the restaurants to get reservations was extremely difficult even when I tried right upon arrival. Overall, fun, relaxing, enjoyable vacation experience."

"Enjoyed our stay at the Dreams Curacao/ IL Mare Resort. The butler service at the Il Mare was excellent. Credits to Fernando, Shakiel, Gio, and the room service attendee - Andre, for making our stay a positive and memorable one! The upkeep/Maintenance of our bungalow though was not perfect, was comfortable and suited well enough- was told the IL Mare was only over a year old though our bungalow showed the interior wall paper needed to be replaced and the patio lighting was not working - and yet maintenance did not address the issue even after our 3 requests. We still enjoyed our nightly relaxation mode when utilizing the patio without its intended lighting. The cleanliness and turn-down service from our house keeper, Jennifer, was excellent and always showed perfect timing for our needs. Our check-in service and process was great as well as the check-out process- Though the front end attendant via our check-out at IL Mare was not friendly nor attentive as expected. The food was good throughout the Dreams / IL Mare resort though the menu did not change much during our 4 day stay. The spa services was impeccable! My husband was so relaxed he ended up falling asleep during our couples massage! Massages was a bit pricey but all well worth it! Would highly recommend the spa services! Would definitely recommend staying at both the Dreams Resort and Il Mare Resort though to keep a open mind as not all associates are as friendly or as attentive as others may be."

"This resort deserves 9 stars. The entire staff were as friendly, helpful, and kind, above anywhere we have ever been. You wouldn't even need to leave this peppery to have an amazing vacation. Great snorkeling right in the property, a beautiful un- crowded infinity pool..... walking distance to many restaurants, really all you could ask for. The only complaint we have and it's minimal was that the bed and pillows felt hard to us, but others may love them that was just our opinion. We will absolutely be back here"
