"It is rather hard to get to Mai Chau but we think it is worth a visit.
Staff is really friendly and nice but their English is not that good so google translate was a great help.
Place is charming, comfortable but a bit basic..
The scenery is breathtaking and they lend you bicycle for a ride…which we did! It was hard work but SO so worth it! The
pool is very handy and cold (for a change) so just the ticket when it is so hot! ‘The breakfast is a bit basic but it’s in a very remote area.

"We enjoyed a three night stay at Mai Chau lodge. As the lodge was quiet being mid-week, we were given an upgrade which was a nice surprise. Our room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and lake. The local food offered in the restaurant was lovely. As options in the town were a bit limited we ate there every night. Location was excellent for visits to the outlying villages- all in an easy walk or cycle. Best of all were Ninh and her staff. Always friendly and eager to help and offer advice. "
