Top Malvern Hills Hotel Reviews
Colwall Park Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay. It's not my first stay, but last time I booked, I booked a single room, which was very single! Make sure if you want a double, you specify, because it's not something you should assume will happen. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There is a good range of food, both for breakfast and dinner; hats off to the kitchen. Highly recommend."
The Talbot Inn
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is a delight with its history and character. The room we stayed in was nicely furnished, and very comfortable. Food at breakfast and dinner was of a high quality with generous portions and we found the staff to be welcoming and helpful. We certainly hope to return in future."
The Malvern Hills Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"It was fantastic locale if you like to hike!! You are across the street from the carpark of the British Camp Trail....great hiking up the hills. If you want a cute area to stay...get to Great Malvern-- and take in the beauty....all while staying in a neat hotel, with a nice restaurant. This would be your place. Breakfast is included---and greatly welcomed. Of note...there is not a fridge, microwave in your room. We loved the place. Highly recommended."
The Cottage in the Wood
10/10 Excellent
"Very clean, great staff, superb location. My only slight concern is food a little too pricey, although food quality is very good. Spa bit pricey also at £25 per person. Saying that, I would definitely go back."
The Railway Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Loved the position of the rooms, overlooking the hills. No stairs. Large facilities. Offload parking, no charge. Lovely staff, nothing too much trouble Ate at the pub, good selection of pub food and drinks. Would have liked complimentary shower gel."
The Wyche Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely team - looked after me brilliantly after travel problems made me very late arriving. Set in a beautiful spot overlooking Malvern."
The Swan Inn
8/10 Good
"I booked two rooms - two couples for two nights with one evening meal. The food was lovely, the pub/restaurant lovely. One room was very good, however the second room was not big enough for a couple. It should’ve been a single room with a single bed. You had to move sideways to pass the bottom of the bed. This stay was booked to attend a wedding and it was extremely difficult to get ready in that room. At the very least this should’ve been made clear at the time of booking (which was many months in advance)."
Great Malvern Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent location in central Great Malvern for a couple of days hiking in the hills. This is a classic old school English hotel with a modern twist and excellent service. Check in was easy, the (twin) room was clean and comfortably furnished with a large bathroom. We ate in the bar - serving very good food (homemade pies and gravy were v v good) and good range of beers. Some lovely touches such as a daily newspaper in the breakfast room and bar, specials on the chalk board to accompany the regular menu and lots of space - bar, lounge / dining room and a separate ‘cranny’ for more hanging out space. Also a well equipped games room. The breakfast gets 10/10! Proper, attentive, personal table service (no buffet!) with a full menu; all the usual breakfast fare plus a few unexpected extras. Healthy options along with the full English. The service was particularly good. I was so impressed, on arrival at breakfast on day 2, the waiting staff remembered my “coffee, toast and marmalade” order from the previous day and just brought it to the table unprompted. A lovely touch and entirely in keeping with the service ethos throughout. And it was proper bread (not the cheap sliced stuff that’s in lots of other hotels) with proper marmalade. A great start to the day. The whole 2 days stay exceeded my expectations. If I were to go back for a stay in Great Malvern, this is where I’d book in."
The Feathers Hotel, Ledbury, Herefordshire
8/10 Good
"A lovely hotel with lots of character. Extremely pet friendly- our dog was given so much fuss by all the staff and we had a bowl, chew treat and poo bags in the room. We had a lovely breakfast too, and they even gave us a special sausage for our dog. It is a town centre hotel but just behind the hotel is a car park with a small grassy area suitable for the dog to have a late night wee. The only thing is you cannot eat in the restaurant with a dog which is a shame, and there is only one table in bar area suitable for eating at, but you can book it - we did for breakfast. There are tables in the coffee shop though where we had our evening meal, but it was a bit out of the way and less atmospheric. The standard double was quite a big room but it does get warm. The windows don’t open much but they do provide a fan which helps a bit. Perfectly located for visiting Eastnor Castle and Malvern Hills."
